From January 31st to February 1st, depending on where you live, at 12:46 AM EST, there will be a New Moon in the sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is a Fixed Air sign ruled by Uranus and the 11th house (in your natal/birth chart). The Tarot card that represents the sign of Aquarius is The Star and the polarity of Aquarius (opposite sign) is the sign of Leo.
Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the Zodiac. They’re rebellious, outgoing, unique, quirky, and eccentric. Aquarius is known as the ‘water barer’ because they like to give back to the community. They are charitable and like to work as a collective for the greater good. Weaknesses included being detached, irresponsible, unpredictable, lack focus, and desire attention. Aquarius signs can be odd at times and have been referred to by many as aliens because of their strange personalities but they’re just being their awesome individual selves!
This New Moon also happens to fall at the start of the Lunar New Year so soak in all that newness energy! Remember that the Moon’s energy is strong enough to work with on the day before, the day of, and the day after. I like to plan out my moon rituals a few days in advance so that I have all my materials ready. Check out this post to see what’s the difference between the New Moon and Full Moon and learn more about both. You can also read all my past moon posts here.
