What I Watched
Wicked: Part 1
Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Galinda, a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads
I first heard the Wicked soundtrack when I was in high school 15 years ago! I’ve been patiently waiting for a film adaptation for years! I thought they did a wonderful job! Cynthia Erivo did a phenomenal job as Elphaba. I love Ariana Grande and think her singing was incredible and I loved her comical moments but I thought she tried too hard to be like Kristin Chenoweth’s Galinda. If you’ve watched Wicked, let me know your thoughts! Now, we have to wait another year for part two…
Beyoncé Bowl – Netflix
Beyoncé’s halftime performance during Netflix’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday
If you didn’t know, I love Beyoncé. I ended my Christmas evening by watching the Beyoncé Bowl. Beyoncé saved Christmas!
Squid Game Season 2 – Netflix
Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept a strange invitation to compete in children’s games. Inside, a tempting prize awaits with deadly high stakes: a survival game that has a whopping 45.6 billion-won prize at stake.
I loved the first season of Squid Game and was looking forward to seeing the second season to see how they moved forward with this series seeing as the original creator didn’t want to make another season. It was epic! Just like last season, they craft these wonderful characters who you find yourself rooting for. I can’t wait to see the next part! It was also nice seeing my former K-pop crush T.O.P. in this series! haha
I’m Thinking About Ending Things – Netflix
Full of misgivings, a young woman travels with her new boyfriend to his parents’ secluded farm. Upon arriving, she comes to question everything she thought she knew about him, and herself.
This movie has been sitting on my Netflix since I read the book a few years ago. Sadly, I was very disappointed with the film adaptation! In the book, there was a dark eerie mood throughout the book but in the film, they added a lot more color. They also over-embellished the film with songs, dancing, and even a cartoon! All that wasn’t needed as the book doesn’t mention any of that. It was just a horrible film which is a shame because I loved the book. Skip the movie and just read the book.
Claire Who Makes Things – YouTube
I realized I never talk about my favorite YouTube channels in my ‘what I watched’ section in my monthly favorite so I’m going to try to do this more this year as I tend to watch YouTube a lot, sometimes more than series and shows! haha
I found Claire because she’s also a part of the Blythe doll community and makes videos about them so her videos are constantly recommended to me. I started actively watching her videos because of her vlogmas videos in December, she is such a joy to watch! Claire also crafts a lot and talks about her projects in sewing, knitting, crocheting, etc. If you’re a crafty and/or dolly person I think you’ll enjoy her videos.
What I Listened

Things I Did
Started Blythe Bites on my Substack
In December, I started posting this series called ‘Blythe Bites’ on my substack where I share my experience with my adventures playing with my Blythe dolls. This was the series that motivated me to transition my Substack to be about Blythe dolls which was one of the best moves I’ve done!
Celebrated Christmas
Also in December, I celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family. It was a wonderful day! I’m very thankful for my family and that I got to spend time with them over the holiday season. You can check out what I got for Christmas here if you’re curious.

Things I Love
HI-PRO-PAC Keratin Protein No-Frizz Hair Intense Protein Treatment
I needed a protein mask and found this protein treatment and after using this my curls looked sooooooo good! They were hydrated, moisturized, bouncy, and springy, I had a really good hair day! I will definitely be repurchasing this treatment in the future!
OGX Renewing + Argan Oil Morocco Weightless Healing Dry Oil
I’ve seen these oils by OGX many times in the store but have never used one so I picked the argan oil morocco oil. I like that it’s lightweight and it has a lovely scent but it doesn’t linger.
Golden Goddess ADG Blythe Doll
I was generously gifted an ADG Blythe doll by one of my dolly friends and I couldn’t be more obsessed with her! I actually gave her a hair spa the other day and her hair feels so soft and looks so silky smooth! You can see me unboxing her in my latest YouTube video.
