Welcome back to another deck review. In the post, I’ll be reviewing the Prism Oracle by Nicole Pivirotto. Check out my last deck review here. Continue reading to find out my thoughts and opinions on this oracle deck.
I first saw this deck in one of my sister’s tarot videos. I was drawn to this oracle deck right away because it was a rainbow deck! As someone who loves to work with colors, I thought a card deck using colors would be the perfect tool to use when I want to switch up color palettes. I thought The Prism Oracle would be an excellent resource to use when I want to infuse a certain color into one of my projects, which was why I bought it. I bought this deck secondhand last summer so I’ve been using this card deck for exactly one year! What are my thoughts? Keep reading to find out!

THINGS TO NOTE
– Colorful bright cards
– Glossy finish
– Holographic edges
– Easy to shuffle
– Comes with a guidebook
– Colorful card backs
– No reverse meanings
– Unique box design
– Great if you want to read more into symbols
The Prism Oracle cards are printed on glossy cardstock. They have rounded corners, a holographic edge, and shuffle excellently! The box is very convenient to open as it has these cutouts on the top and bottom of the box to easily lift open and close.
The colors on the cards are bold and colorful which is nice on the eyes if you’re someone who loves seeing bright colors. I use these cards along with my daily one-card tarot pulls but I’ve also used them in ‘color readings’ which is when I pull a few cards to create my own color palette! I do a light meditation to clear my mind, shuffle the deck, and pull a few cards of colors I should consider working with and try to incorporate those colors into my life more. I also take into account the meaning associated with the cards and how that reflects my life at that moment.
Because this is an oracle deck, there aren’t any reverse meanings which is great if you’re new to reading oracle and/or tarot cards. The guidebook features all sorts of card spread ideas such as a general check-in reading, new moon intention, full moon release, and more! There is also further suggested reading for those who want to learn more about colors and their meanings.
Favorite cards: Flow, Magic, Illumination, Comfort, Ghost, Sadness, Rest, Sweetness, Death, Fear and Metamorphosis

THINGS TO CONSIDER
– Not that much of a color selection
– Some colors and meanings don’t always align
– Guidebook color is off from cards
– Repeated colors
– Missing colors
– Cards get messy easily
My biggest complaint with this deck is the lack of a color selection. Some shades look very similar like Passion=Stop, Isolation=Peace, Hunger=Caution, and Space=Fear, Death=Confidence. They could’ve diversified the color shades to make the colors look different from one another. There are like 4 black cards but no white or brown cards? It’s pretty strange.
In the guidebook, the colors are a bit off from the actual physical cards. For example, ‘Rest’ looks more blue-green in the booklet but it’s pretty green irl. The card ‘Love’ also looks more light pink in person than it does in the guidebook.
Some of the color meanings and symbols don’t always match the color associated. They chose the ‘Happiness’ card to be orange. Orange! I think we can all agree that happiness is more of a yellow color, right? The same goes for the cards ‘Confidence’ and ‘Comfort’, I think both of these cards also don’t suit their assigned color either.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, it’s a solid deck. I love working with it but do wish more colors were included in this deck. This probably isn’t the only color oracle deck on the market so I’ll be looking into expanding my color decks once I find another colorful deck that I think suits me more. Until then, I’m happy to work with this and continue making my custom color palettes!
