Welcome back to another deck review. In the post, I’ll be reviewing the Affirmators! Morning Mantras card deck. Check out my last deck review here. I recently published a post about my kawaii tarot and oracle decks and one of the decks I featured in that post was Affirmators! Morning Mantras. Continue reading to find out what I think about this deck and whether this deck is for you.
The Affirmators! Morning Mantras deck offers a veritable breakfast buffet of morning mantras. Yay!
Pick a card at random, and let its wisdom percolate as you sip your coffee (or milk, or whatever you’re into). Read it out loud to set an intention for your day–and repeat as/if/whenever needed! For those of us who weren’t born fully enlightened, it’s nice to have a cheat sheet.
The Affirmators! Morning Mantras was written by Suzi Barrett and illustrated by Vikki Chu. Suzi Barrett is an actor, writer, improviser, and teacher. She has many Affirmators! decks, I recently acquired her tarot deck which I’ve been using, and can’t wait to share a review on that deck in a few months. Vikki Chu is an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York.

PROS
– Positive affirataions/mantras
– Cute art illustrations
– Bright lively colors
– Travel-friendly
– Lovely card back art
– Perfect self-care tool
– Affordable
This is a small pocket-size deck (4 x 3.25 inches) so it’s a great tool to keep with you in your bag and pop out whenever you need some guidance or advice. The cards are printed on matte cardstock. I have trouble shuffling these cards sometimes because the cards tend to stick together this is also probably due to the matte finish, size of the cards, and the fact that there aren’t many cards in this deck.
These cards are charming and quirky. The illustrations in this deck are very adorable and the messages are comical yet comforting. You can pull a card each morning and repeat its message as a way to practice self-care. The cute illustrations help keep this deck uplifting yet funny at the same time. I also love the back art illustrations on these cards! They remind me of the papel picado people hang around Day of the Dead celebrations. This deck is also very affordable! Depending on where you buy it costs anywhere between $10-15.
CONS
– Not that many cards
The only negative thing I have to say about this deck is that there aren’t that many cards in this deck. There are only 30 cards! They do have an evening and even a midnight edition of this deck so if you’re craving more positive mantras to add to your collection then those would make lovely additions!
FINAL THOUGHTS
This is a cute deck to add to your deck collection! This is a wonderful deck if you’re not someone who is not into tarot or oracle decks but you still want a cute deck with encouraging mantras. This would also make a lovely gift to someone you think could benefit from positive messages and practice self-care. I’m glad to have this little piece of joy in my deck collection.
