What I Watched
Adolescence – Netflix
When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, therapist and the detective in charge are all left asking what really happened.
I was intruiged by this limited series when I heard people talking about it. It was very interesting to watch, especially since each episode is filmed in a single continuous take. I don’t know about you but I was on edge the entire time watching episode four!
Black Mirror (season 7) – Netflix
Featuring stand-alone dramas — sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia — “Black Mirror” is a contemporary reworking of “The Twilight Zone” with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world.
I started actively watching Black Miror a few seasons ago. I love the strange and errie concept of this series and how messed up some of the episodes can get. It’s like the modern-day version of The Twilight Zone, which I love. I also love that each episode is different, so I don’t have to commit to much time like I would with a full series. My favorite episodes this season were the first two. Do any of you watch Black Mirror?
You (season 5) – Netflix
A dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.
I have to confess that I stopped watching You after the first part of last season, the whole London season felt like its “jumped the shark” moment, so I didn’t even continue watching when the second part of season 4 was released. However, when I heard that season 5 was the final season, I thought I might as well complete the series. Honestly, after the first few episodes of the second part of season 4, the rest wasn’t so bad. I wish they had killed off everyone from season 4, as I didn’t like any of the new characters and didn’t enjoy seeing them pop up in season 5.
I guess I’m satisfied with how they ended the series but I also feel like they left it open in case they want to continue the series later on. I’m surprised certain characters didn’t show in this season. Like, I felt we should’ve had more cameos from season 2 characters. By the way, did anybody catch the Gossip Girl nod at the end? lol
The Unexpected Gypsy – YouTube
Wendy’s videos were recommended to me via YouTube. She’s an artist in her 50s who posts videos about art, journaling, scrapbooking, and gives out a lot of advice as someone growing older. I find her videos really comforting to watch. I love hearing words of wisdom from people older than me who have experienced more life than me. I find this channel very insightful, and she just seems like such a lovely person.
Yoga with Kassandra – YouTube
Back in March, I had a bad carpal tunnel issue (which is why I’m posting March and April favorites in one post this time) and wasn’t able to use my hands as much. One of the things that I had to take a break from was yoga, which I practice daily. I searched on YouTube for hands-free yoga and came across Yoga with Kassandra. This 10-minute hands-free yoga practice and this 15- morning yoga stretch were two of my favorite videos from her. She has hundreds of videos, including some pilates videos but I’ve only tried her yoga videos so far.

Things I Did
Posted more shorts on YouTube
Since last year, I’ve been trying on grow my YouTube channel. My goal is to eventually reach 1k and one day be able to get monetized. I’m currently at 570+ subs which I’m so proud of! I’ve been trying to find ways to organically grow my channel so I started posting my shorts on my channel and was surprised how well they performed! Some of my last shorts have even gotten 1k! I’m someone who consumes long-form content, but I know a majority of people nowadays watch short-form content because it’s more convenient for them. However, if even one of those people subscribes to me because they like my style, then I’ll consider that a win!
Started a Blythe doll journal
As if I couldn’t get any more doll crazy, I started a journal for my Blythe dolls! I wanted a physical notebook where I could track their outfits and hairstyles, so I made a journal for them! I even made a paper cut-out of what the Blythe illustrations look like and pasted it to the cover of a journal I had. It’s such a fun project! I can’t wait to make more journal spreads!
Started sewing
Back in March, I decided to finally start my New Year’s goal of sewing. I gave my trusty Singer sewing machine a deep clean and oiled some of its parts for it to run better. I’ve only hemmed a few doll dresses, but I want to make more doll clothes. I even bought a miniature iron for this reason! haha

Things I Love
LEADERS Pro Hydra 23 Amino Sleeping Mask
These amino sleeping masks by Leaders are a wonderful treat to end your night with! They moisturize the skin surface and hydrate from within. The gel-cream texture is wonderful as the gel gives a cooling sensation to chill your tired face from the day. I also keep a few packets tucked away in my skincare fridge! In the morning, wash off any remaining residue from the sleeping pack, and your skin feels extra soft! The sleeping masks come packaged individually, which I think makes these the perfect travel companion, especially for long flights!
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule
The SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule is lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly without any sticky residue or irritating the skin as it contains gentle ingredients meant for those who suffer from sensitive skin or acne-prone skin. It’s a fantastic ampoule/serum if you suffer from redness. It didn’t aggravate the redness on my face and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized.
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
Wow! I finally get the hype of this product! I’ve tried a lot of COSRX skincare in the past but I don’t remember if I ever tried their Snail Mucin Essence. I’ve definitely tried the snail mucin cream but I can’t remember what else from the Snail line I tested out. Anyway, this product has definitely improved my skin! Like many, I have a slight forehead crease that I’m self-conscious of, and let me tell you this product has helped lessen that crease! Not only that, but I feel like my skin looks more plump and youthful! Would you like to see a review of this product? I feel like I’m so late to the party with this product, so I’m not sure if I should or not.
