What I Watched
In February, I didn’t watch anything fun or new to report, besides YouTube content. I don’t know about you, but I probably watch YouTube more than any streaming service. Anyone else?
Catherine Kay – YouTube
I’ve been following Catherine on social media for years thanks to her studio vlogs. I enjoy watching her travel vlogs when she visits Disney parks and in February she started releasing her Japan vlogs, which I’ve been really loving!
warm blanket – YouTube
A playlist of gentle, sweet jazz for the soul.
I came across this channel as it was recommended to me on the YouTube homepage. I love listening to lofi music at night and/or when I’m alone at home and need something relaxing to listen to. The images are very lovely to keep on in the background and the music is soothing for an anxious pup.
silvie the queen – YouTube
Silvie is an autistic girl living in Japan working as a bunny hostess. One of my Blythestagram friends recommended her channel and I’ve been loving her YouTube channel! Silvie seems like such a down-to-earth person, which is refreshing to see on YouTube. I feel like a lot of people put on a facade and try to appear like they’re living a perfect online, especially people who live overseas. However, I think many people aren’t into this style of influencer anymore. It’s comforting to see people who are around your age who are also struggling and not afraid to admit it.
What I Listened
CHUNG HA – STRESS
CHUNG HA – Salty (with SUNMI)
CHUNG HA ~ Alivio
RESCENE – Glow Up
EVNNE – CROWN
G-DRAGON ~ Ubermensch
G-DRAGON – DRAMA
Things I Did
I posted my first crochet pattern on my Substack
In February, I posted two crochet patterns for Blythe dolls on my Substack. These crochet patterns are on a paywall, but you can get access to these posts through a 7-day free trial if you want. I stopped posting crochet patterns on my blog because it no longer brought me happiness. I love crocheting and have been doing it for over 15 years, can you believe it?! Some of my crochet posts are some of my most popular posts (like my BT21 series) but after posting several crochet patterns online for free, I’m at the point where I don’t want to do this anymore. Creating crochet patterns can be tricky and it takes a lot of planning, time, and effort just to make a crochet pattern. I’m not saying I won’t be posting anymore free crochet patterns on my blog, I’m just saying that I won’t be posting them as frequently as I used to.
Celebrated Lucy’s 11th birthday
My little pomeranian, Lucy, turned 11 years old on February 20th! I’m so grateful that she’s part of my life, she is my world! I love her so much! Even when she wakes me up at 4 am to use the bathroom.
Made a Hello Kitty shrine
If you watched my latest YouTube video then you know that this was a fail that turned into a happy accident. I originally bought this table to display my Blythe dolls, however, it was too wide so I decided to turn it into a Hello Kitty shrine because everything on the table just happened to be Hello Kitty-related. haha

Things I Love
Sweet potatoes
I’ve always loved sweet potatoes but in February I fell head over heels for them, especially Japanese sweet potatoes! I make them in the air fryer which has been a game-changer! How I prepare my sweet potatoes, I wash, poke some holes with a fork, and lightly cover the potatoes with oil, and put them in the air fryer for 35 minutes, flipping them halfway through. I let them cool for 5 minutes and serve them with butter. It’s been my new go-to meal!
Soul Sticks Incense
These resin incense sticks were a gift and looked fancy so I was waiting for a special occasion to use them but decided that any day can be a special day so I used them and OMG! I love the relaxing scent and strong smoke payoff, you get from lighting just one stick, it’s amazing! They also burn for a long time! These incense sticks would make a fantastic alternative to smoke cleansing with sage or palo santo because of the strong smoke. I never used resin incense sticks before but now I’m obsessed! I will definitely be purchasing more soon.
