What I Watched
The Little Mermaid – Disney+
A young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince.
I’m not someone who is a fan of all the live-action Disney films. I’ll watch them but will I rewatch them, probably not. However, I always keep an open mind with these films because it’s fun to see what certain charaters would would like in real life. I thought The Little Mermaid was done rather nicely. I thought the first 30 minutes or so were kind of slow but then it picks up after Ariel becomes human. I think everyone did a great job with their role. They did change up a few things and even added a few new songs (which I think were unnecessary as they were forgettable) but overall this was a fun watch and I was impressed with how they turned a movie that is set half underwater into a live-action film.
Elemental – Disney+
Follows Ember and Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, earth- and air-residents live together.
I wasn’t interested in Elemental at all but when I saw that it was available on Disney+ I thought I would watch it seeing as I’ve seen every film by Pixar. The way they marketed this film I thought this was going to be a love-heavy movie with cute characters but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a story of immigration and moving to a new land with a bit of romance. It reminded me of Zootopia at times but it also gave me that Pixar movie feeling that tugs at your heartstrings, I may have shed a tear at the end! Also, the attention to detail with all the sounds and textures used in this movie was amazing! It’s a cute movie and would highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven’t already.
Asteroid City – Peacock
Following a writer on his world famous fictional play about a grieving father who travels with his tech-obsessed family to small rural Asteroid City to compete in a junior stargazing event, only to have his world view disrupted forever.
I was excited to watch Asteroid City because I love Wes Anderson films because of the attention to detail, color schemes, and cold humor, I love the Wes Anderson aesthetic! Asteroid City was a joy to watch, there were a few surprises that I was not expecting! There were some confusing parts but overall I enjoyed it and will probably watch it again.

Things I Love
HEM Cinnamon Incense Sticks
I wanted an autumnal scent to spice up my room so I bought this box of cinnamon incense sticks. The scent isn’t as strong as other HEM incense sticks that I have so I usually burn 2 so that the cinnamon smell lingers for a while. It’s been a nice
Too Cool for School ArtClass by Robin – #2 Modern
This contour palette is a holy grail in the Korean beauty community so I finally gave in and bought myself it because I’ve been shading my face more than usual and my old shading duo wasn’t doing me justice. I was pleasantly see that the Too Cool for School Artclass by Robin Contour Palette comes in a shade for cool-toned skin types! (Side note: I love how Korean makeup brands make makeup for different skin tones! It’s so genius!). The shading is very subtle but also buildable and gives you that natural shading effect which is what I’m looking for.
Season of the Witch Mabon Oracle
I’ve only been using the Season of the Witch Mabon Oracle deck for a week or so but it’s already become a fall favorite! The artwork, colors, messages, subtle spookiness, and everything about this oracle deck is fabulous! If you’re looking for a beautiful witchy oracle deck for this time of the year then this deck is for you!
