It’s been a minute since my last skincare review. I’m falling behind on all of my beauty review posts but I do have a few more that I would like to post before the end of the year so do expect to see more product reviews in the next couple of weeks!
I was reached out to by Hanskin to review their BHA Pore Cleansing Oil. If you’ve been following my blog for a couple of years (can you believe I’ve been blogging for over 10 years!) you know I’ve been a loyal K-beauty user. Hanskin is a brand that I was familiar with but never had the chance to test out their products until now! I was super excited to try out their BHA cleansing oil as I’ve seen this product mentioned by other K-beauty bloggers and content creators who I follow.
I’ll be very transparent I was asked to make video content for them, not write a review but I wanted to review this product regardless because blogging will forever be my first love and I know whenever I’m searching for skincare product reviews I always read written reviews instead of watching videos, but that’s just me.

MY EXPERIENCE
I use this cleansing oil as part of my evening skincare routine to remove any sunscreen and/or makeup. The texture of the oil is a bit running but non-greasy. It has a heavy scent so if you’re sensitive to smells you may want to avoid this cleansing oil. It melts away all my waterproof mascara and eyeliner and does a decent job of melting away most of my lip tints. It does stings the eyes but if you use water to rinse away the product the sensation goes away pretty quickly. After massaging the oil in for a good 2-3 minutes I rinse my face with lukewarm water. It rinses with ease without leaving my skin feeling greasy or a layer of film. This cleansing oil leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated afterward! I follow up with a water-based cleanser.
The first few days after I started using this cleanser I noticed my skin felt so soft in the morning which is wonderful with the colder weather quickly approaching I want to retain as much moisture as possible!
I have very visible pores and blackheads around my nose area and was hoping this cleanser would help minimize the appearance of my pores or blackheads but so far they look the same.
I’ve been using the Hanskin BHA Pore Cleansing Oil for about a month. My skin can be picky with cleansers so I’m always hesitant to introduce a new cleanser to my skincare routine however I’m happy that this cleanser was effective and worked with my skin type and gave me some fantastic results! It does have a few downsides but they haven’t put me off from using this cleansing oil daily.

Cleansers are my favorite part of my skincare!!! I’m so glad you got to collab with Hanskin!!! I loved your nails in your Tik Tok reel x. You’ve been blogging for ten years?!! Wow, Michelle, that’s amazing!!! I’ve tried cleansing oils before and sadly they don’t work for my skin. I can only use cleansing balms because my pores are easily clogged. I also get scared when I introduce something new to my skincare routine!

Thank you, Mari! I also love cleansing balms too but I prefer cleansing oils because they come with a pump. As I’ve gotten older, my skin has become sensitive to certain products so I have to be careful about testing out new skincare products and introducing them to my routine.
Yeah, I’ve been around for a while but I didn’t take my blog “seriously” until a couple years ago so it doesn’t feel like 10 years! haha ♥
