It’s been a minute since I last posted an updated skincare routine so I thought it would be appropriate and somewhat fun to document my current skincare regimen and explain why and how I use my current skincare products, in the morning and evening. It’s funny, I was looking at my previous routines and I skin use the same moisturizer years later! Some things never change, huh? lol
Even though I do love using a multi-step skincare routine, I also believe it’s best to have a simple routine and not just add products for the sake of using more products. If you’ve been following me long enough, you know that I’ve been a K-beauty junkie for years (before I got free stuff sent to me) and than switched to a more simple drugstore-only routine when I found out I had mild-rosacea. During my rosacea journey, I focused on simpler products designed for sensitive skin and anti-redness skincare. Today, my rosacea flare-ups aren’t as bad, however, you can see that the skincare products I use still reflect my rosacea journey.
My skincare routine is always changing as I’m trying out new products. I thought about writing a post on how I test out and review new skincare products and how I incorporate them into my current skincare regime but I’m not sure if that would be interesting to read or not. Also, if you would like me to review any of the products mentioned in this post, let me know.

MY SKIN TYPE
My skin type is somewhere between normal and sensitive. I get both dry and oily areas across my face, but it depends on the season. I do have large pores and blackheads, especially around my nose area, and rarely experience any breakouts. I’m not sensitive to any particular ingredients (that I know of), but some of the most random things break me out. I do experience redness when I apply certain products but it goes away within a few seconds.

AM ROUTINE
Cleanser: Water
Don’t worry, I’m not someone who relies on just water to help achieve clear moisturized skin, because that wouldn’t be enough for me! I’m just not someone who cleanses in the morning, it’s something I picked up from cosmetology years ago. UNLESS! I work out first thing in the morning, because I sweat a lot and need something stronger than water to cleanse my face with. However, I’m currently in a situation where I’m not working out first thing in the morning so as of right now, I’m not using a cleanser in the AM. I just splash water on my face. If I were to use a cleanser in the morning, it would be something with AHA/BHA or salicylic acid as a gentle way to exfoliate my skin, as I suffer from large pores and blackheads.
Essence/serum: PURITO Wonder Releaf Centella Serum
In the morning, I use the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Serum. I’ve used this serum multiple times and my skin adores it! I reviewed the entire Wonder Releaf Centella line by Purito and would recommend checking out those products as they helped combat my redness and rosacea triggers.
Moisturizer: PURITO Sun Day Adventure Sunscreen
I was recently sent and reviewed this (along with all of Purito sunscreens) sunscreen. I love how glowy and dewy it leaves my skin looking. Plus, it’s moisturizing enough to use as a morning moisturizer. You only need to use one product that contains SPF and for me, that’s this sunscreen. I learned the “hack” to use sunscreen as a moisturizer thanks to Dr.Dray! I can’t believe I used to be someone who would use a moisturizer, sunscreen, and then a BB cream with more SPF! It seems so ridiculous and unnecessary now.
Eyecream: Leaders Green Collagen Eye Cream For Face
I’m such a sucker for eye creams and always have to use one. This is an average eye cream by Leaders, though. It’s not the best eye cream nor the worst I’ve used. It moisturizes and hydrates the eye area, most importantly, it doesn’t sting my eyes! I don’t know about you but I love the sensation of my eyes feeling hydrated, like it’s going to make me see more or something! haha

PM ROUTINE
Oil Cleanser: Hanskin BHA Pore Cleansing Oil
I never thought I would be someone to double cleanse and enjoy but I’ve grown to really love the double cleansing ritual. Once upon a time, I did attempt to double cleanse but I didn’t care for it or I didn’t notice any benefits, so I stopped. Now, I can’t imagine a life without double cleansing! First, I use this cleansing oil and then follow up with a foam cleanser (more on that below) which helps soften and moisturize the skin. I reviewed the Hanskin BHA cleansing oil a while back and have still been loving it!
Foam Cleanser: Leaders Milk Sponge White Mud Pack to Foam
The second cleanser in my double nightly cleanse is this foam cleanser by Leaders. This cleanser is a bit drying when used alone but when I double cleanse with a cleansing oil it works really well with my skin. You can also use this product as a mud pack if you apply it on bare skin and leave on for a few minutes to set. I’ve tried both ways but prefer it as a foam cleanser because it brightens my skin beautifully!
Ampoule: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule
This is the newest addition to my skincare routine. SKIN1004 is a well-known K-beauty brand whose products I’ve always wanted to try so I’m excited to use one of their popular products, the Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule. This is another product designed for sensitive skin and said to calm redness and improve the skin barrier. So far, I’ve been loving it! It’s lightweight and not sticky.
Moisturizer: CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
This is my go-to moisturizer as it’s simple yet effective and a wonderful moisturizer to use all year long. However, I’ll be switching to a new cream soon, as I have a few new moisturizers that I need to test out.
Eyecream: Leaders Green Collagen Eye Cream For Face
Just like in the morning, I apply the same Leaders eye cream to keep my eye area hydrated at night.
Lips: Aquaphor Healing Ointment
My lips tend to get dry when I sleep, so I apply a bit of Aquaphor healing ointment before I go to bed. It’s similar to Vaseline and works the same.
