A couple of months ago, I was reached out to by the Korean brand, Dr.G, asking if I would be interested in trying out two of their R.E.D BLEMISH creams. I’ve never tried any products by Dr.G but they have several products that I’ve been interested in trying. Back when I lived in South Korea, I first saw Dr. G products at Olive Young, their simple and clean packaging really intrigued me. I never had the chance to test out any of the Dr.G skincare product so, when the opportunity came up to try out their R.E.D BLEMISH Creams, I wasn’t hesitant to say YES!

The Dr.G R.E.D BLEMISH line offers several products ranging from cleansers, toners, masks, sun creams, essence, creams, and more! The R.E.D BLEMISH line consists of gentle ingredients suitable for sensitive and dry skin. They also have a R.E.D BLEMISH REPAIR SOOTHING CREAM for troubled skin that contains Vitamin C and Tranexamic Acid.

MY SKIN TYPE
My skin texture is pretty clear and smooth, and I don’t suffer from any major skin issues. I do have mild Rosacea. I still get some redness but it’s not as bad as it was a few years ago. With that said, I do tend to gravitate towards products that are marketed towards reducing redness as a way to combat rosacea flare-ups.
My skin type is somewhere between normal and sensitive. I get both dry and oily areas across my face, but it depends on the season. I do have large pores and blackheads, especially around my nose area, and rarely experience any breakouts. I’m not sensitive to any particular ingredients (that I know of), but some of the most random things break me out. I do experience redness when I apply certain products but it goes away within a few seconds.

MY EXPERIENCE
The Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear Soothing Cream contains a 10-CICA complex and non-irritating ingredients. The glass jar is easy to open and comes with a spatula for cleaner application. The R.E.D Blemish Clear Soothing Cream is a gel-based moisturizer that doesn’t contain any scent. It’s a lightweight yet hydrating cream that feels refreshing on my skin which comes in handy right now as it’s almost summer. This cream absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving any residue or stickiness and has long-lasting hydration that lasts all day! The mild formula and gentle ingredients helped reduce the appearance of redness and I didn’t have any rosacea flare-ups when I was using this cream.
This would make a wonderful daily moisturizing cream to use if you have acne-prone or dry sensitive skin and/or struggle with redness or rosacea.

MY EXPERIENCE
The Dr.G R.E.D Blemish Clear Moisture Cream is similar to the Clear Soothing Cream but this one contains 5-CICASOME (madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiaticoside, asiatic acid and centella asiatica extract). The R.E.D Blemish Clear Moisture Cream also doesn’t contain any fragrance or scent, comes with a spatula, and is gel-based. The main difference is that the Blemish Clear Moisture Cream is a lot richer and creamier! I haven’t noticed a reduction in redness with this cream, but to be fair, I didn’t use this cream as long as I used the soothing cream. I was really shocked at how rich this cream felt on my skin without feeling heavy. The deep moisturizing properties are ideal for dry dehydrated skin in need of hydration! I’m saving this cream for late autumn/winter when the weather is a lot harsher on the skin and I need deep moisturizing.
