What I Watched
The White Lotus (seasons 1 & 2) – HBO Max
The exploits of various guests and employees of a tropical resort over the span of a week.
After hearing so much about The White Lotus I finally decided to give it a watch and…I don’t get why people are raving about this series. It was one of those series where you keep waiting for stuff to happen and nothing ever really did, until the final episode. The opening episodes make you think something more dramatic or mysterious happens which is why I binged both seasons pretty quickly but honestly, it’s just a bunch of white privileged people bragging about their money and cheating on each other, and I don’t know about you but I’m getting bored with this concept. If you’ve watched White Lotus let me know your thoughts.
You (season 4 part 1) – Netflix
A dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.
This season of You really jumped the shark! I mean this series has always been ridiculous but this season just seemed like they took a lot of risks for the sake of shock value, I mean that first episode… I do appreciate that this season is more of a mystery rather than a romantic thriller. I also loved the Agatha Christie references because I love me some Agatha Christie novels! If you’ve watched the first part of season 4 let me know your thoughts.
The Love Witch – Peacock
A modern-day witch uses spells and magic to get men to fall in love with her, with deadly consequences.
After seeing multiple memes of this movie I decided to give it a watch. Aesthetically the film was gorgeous! The style, makeup, and fashion is stunning! The whole film seemed like a film that was filmed in the late 80s but it was actually released in 2016! The acting though was ridiculous and as someone who doesn’t care for love or romance, I hated the main character’s obsession with it.

The Most Haunted City on Earth Podcast
I also just came across The Most Haunted City on Earth podcast through Two Girls One Ghost, I believe they did a crossover or something. The hosts are based in Savannah, Georgia, a city south of Atlanta. Savannah is known to be one of the most haunted cities in the south, maybe even the United States! I’ve never been but would love to visit one day. I’ve been enjoying listening to scary stories and facts about Savannah, the south, and Georgia.
Things I Did
Boho Beautiful 31-Days of Yoga
Last month, I participated in the 30-day yoga journey by Yoga with Adriene but for the month of February, I decided to do the 31 days of yoga from Boho Beautiful. Because I started this in February which only has 28 days this year, I still have a few days left. I really enjoyed this series! I love how Boho Beautiful videos are a lot more advanced yoga practices with moves that I’ve never tried before, their videos challenge my body and make me feel so rejuvenated afterward. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to pay to use their app. They offer a free month so you can try out the app but charge a fee afterward after your trial ends unless you cancel your subscription. Unfortunately, I won’t be continuing to use their app because there Boho Beautiful has a Youtube channel with hundreds of free videos so I’ll just follow those videos from now on.
What I Read
The Lemon Tree Cafe by Cathy Bramley
When Rosie Featherstone finds herself unexpectedly jobless, the offer to help her beloved Italian grandmother out at the Lemon Tree Cafe – a little slice of Italy nestled in the rolling hills of Derbyshire – feels like the perfect way to keep busy. Surrounded by the rich scent of espresso, delicious biscotti and juicy village gossip, Rosie soon finds herself falling for her new way of life. But she is haunted by a terrible secret, one that even the appearance of a handsome new face can’t quite help her move on from.
I started reading this book back in the spring/summer of last year. Halfway through I got so bored with this novel that I decided to start a new book and forgot all about this one. I actually didn’t know this was a 4-part book series in one book! However, I decided to give it another go because I didn’t want this to be another book I never finished. The Lemon Tree Cafe is a Hallmark movie in book form and I was not a fan. It’s super cheesy and I caught myself rolling my eyes multiple times. Don’t judge the book cover and name because there are a lot of strange dramatic turns this book took that I thought were unnecessary, especially the last part of the book which could be seen as problematic… If you’re into that traditional Hallmark storylines then you might enjoy this novel but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this book.
Things I Love
Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp Oil
The Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Oil is supposed to help nourish damage and stimulate hair growth. I apply the oil onto my scalp, massage it with my fingers for a few minutes, and let the oil sink in for about an hour. I love the smell and the refreshing sensation of the mint! I’ve only used it for a month and have seen some regrowth but I feel like I have to use this longer to see more noticeable results.
CURLSMITH Bond Curl Rehab Salve
My wavy curls were looking out of shape, like some of my curls literally looked limp and out of shape. So, I decided to do some research and thought that I could benefit from a bond treatment. The Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve is an intense pre-shampoo treatment that targets 3 types of hair bonds to repair, strengthen, and protect from breakage. The treatment looked and felt like a regular conditioner. I left the treatment on for 20-30 minutes and then washed it off and followed my normal styling routine. I have only tried this product once so far because I wanted to see how long the results lasted, and a month later and my curls are still looking good! If you have damaged hair, you might benefit from using a bond treatment.
Nature Made Iron Vitamins
I often forget to reorder my vitamins, I know I can schedule them but I like to manually order them myself. I’ve been trying to grow out my hair and one of the key factors is iron. I actually have low anemia as well so I was definitely overdue for some iron supplements. I used to take these really gross iron vitamins that left me with an upset stomach so I switch to these iron supplements by Nature Made and have been enjoying them. I actually have a difficult time swallowing pills but I found out that if I keep these in my mouth for a few minutes they dissolve a little making them easier to swallow so if you have trouble swallowing pills maybe try these.

I’m a die-hard You fan, and really like the mystery direction that the series is going in. I’m new to Agatha Christie books as of January this year, so those little mentions have been so exciting for me!
I LOVE the Boho Beautiful workouts – so great for at-home sessions. Reminds me I should revisit their workout videos soon… Thank you SO much for sharing not one but two of my blog posts, Michelle. I’m so happy you enjoyed them enough to share with your community!
