Today I am not sharing my favorite beauty products. Instead, I will be featuring a few products that I’m not a huge fan of. I’m normally not a person who likes to diss products but since going cruelty-free one thing I’ve noticed is that I’m spending a $1-3 on products and a majority aren’t great. So I wanted to make this post to warn those who may be interested in purchasing one of these products in the future.
Now if a skincare item breaks me out I will give it to my younger sister (we have different skin types) but if a product just isn’t good enough I will “hate to use it”. I will use the whole container up before replacing it because I think it’s a waste of money to simply toss it.
I picked up the Shea Moisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Nourish + Silken Shampoo a couple months ago along with the matching conditioner (which I used up). This shampoo doesn’t “nourish” nor”silken” your hair! When I use this shampoo it doesn’t lather so I don’t feel like it properly cleansed my scalp. I’ve tried other Shea Moisture products before and LOVE THEM so I thought I was going to love this too but I didn’t.
When I bought the Dr. Teal’s Body Lotion Moisture + Soothing Lavender I was in a rush and it’s lavender scented which I love! While I do enjoy the scent the lotion itself leaves that annoying white cast and the lotion leaves a tacky feeling on the skin. It’s not a horrible lotion but I don’t like it and wouldn’t purchase it again.
Now onto the deodorant dilemma! I’ve mentioned the Certain Dri Everyday Strength Anti-Perspirant plenty of times before and at one point I considered it a holy grail! However, late autumn of last year I started getting very irritated in my underarms. I thought it was my body wash or maybe I got a bad bottle so I ordered another one and the same thing happened. I don’t know if they changed the formula or if my body just got too comfortable with this deodorant either way I stopped using it and was forced to buy a new deodorant.
Finding a cruelty-free deodorant is very very tricky for me because I sweat a lot! I’ve used many natural deodorants and antiperspirants and they’ve all broken me out so I wasn’t looking for a natural one just a cruelty-free one. The first on my list to try was the Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant in Lavender Sage.
I got the travel-size Lavanilla Sports Luxe Deodorant at Sephora too try it before committing and getting the full-size. This didn’t break me out and actually even made it into one of my favorites posts but it’s not strong enough for me! It was good enough for me to use it when it’s really cold but now that’s warming up again I won’t be excited to use them so I will be hate using it until I finish it.
Any cruelty-free shampoo, lotion, and deodorant recommendations for me?

Great post, I'm the same even if I hate something I will use it up (Face Shop cushions lol) unless it's really bad for my skin then I'll give it to friends or family. I am still searching for a deodorant I like none of the ones I've tested seem to work for me and I'm currently "hate using" a bunch of body lotions to now I've run out of my fave Body Shop body butters… I have so many products I need to use up maybe I'll have to share some of my unfaves to haha!

Are Face Shop cushions not any good? I've never tried any from them before. You should totally share your unfavorites especially since you use a lot of kbeauty products. I would love to know which products you love or don't love. I'm always looking for some new kbeauty products to try. ♥

Pinch, punch, second day of the month(*no returns*😆). I like the look of the body lotion and the pretty rose mirror/brush(I'm not too sure what it is😆). The only cruelty-free shampoo I know of is one from the Body Shop(if you live in the UK). It's an Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, and great for all hair types, including mine (I have Afro-Caribbean hair so…yeah.😊)

I 'hate use' products that I don't like too! I always think it's such a waste to just bin something. I love using LUSH's solid shampoos, which are cruelty free.

I tried one LUSH solid shampoo a few years ago but maybe I should check them out again. ♥

I know here in the states there are shops that let you return products that you've used but I never feel comfortable returning products I've already open and used. Yes, it's a mirror. haha
I've tried the banana shampoo and conditioner from The Body Shop a few years ago and they were all right. I do get the occasional dandruff here and there so I will look up that shampoo for sure. Thanks! ♥
