My First Colourpop Order ♥ Haul + First Impressions

Last weekend Colourpop Cosmetics had many amazing offers flying around for Labor Day so I decided to take advantage of the deals and place my first ever Colourpop order. I’ve heard many raves on Colourpop Cosmetics and almost ordered from them a few times but never officially. However, when I heard that they were giving away FREE full-size ultra matte lips with certain orders I decided to jump at the opportunity and finally order from them.

I placed my order last Thursday, it shipped out on Tuesday and arrived today (Thursday). So it took a whole week for my package to arrive. Everything came in a white box with a floral print pattern on the inside. All the products were packaged in white boxes with pops of color on the sides. They included a free booklet featuring their other Colourpop cosmetics and a handwritten thank you note. So cute!

The two Ultra Matte Lips that I ordered were Vice and Solow. I’ve been eyeing these for a long time so I’m really excited to finally be able to try them out! You guys know how much I love pale pink lips and Vice is a lovely addition to my pale pink nude lips collection. It’s way more pinker and vibrant compared to NYX’s Lip Lingerie in Baby Doll. Solow is a very popular color. I’ve seen many people on Youtube and Instagram wear Solow so I had to buy is as well because it looks so beautiful.

These were the two ultra matte lips that I got for free because I spent over $25. They’re not out yet but you will probably be able to purchase them soon because Colourpop said that these are from their newest collection. These two shades are the perfect colors to wear in autumn. I can definitely see myself wearing Time Square this autumn but Viper is too bold for me so I will be giving it away to my sister.

Highlighting seems to be a huge trend at the moment. I really want to play around with the glow and incorporate into my daily makeup. Since I currently don’t own any highlighters so I decide to buy Monster and Stole the Show. It was so difficult choosing which highlighters to get because all of the Colourpop highlighters are gorgeous! Monster is a light pink with a highly opalescent duo chrome finish. Stole the Show is a light cool-toned gold with luminous flashes of pink, silver, and gold.

The last item is this eye shadow called Weenie (Nice name, lol). I actually bought this for my younger sister. It’s described as a pinky rose gold with a pearlized finish.

After swatching all of the products I noticed how pigmented everything was. The lip glosses were especially pigmented and applied very smoothly. They all required only one application for the full color to show up. However, I would suggest you wear a lip liner with Vice because it’s so light yet bright and makes the lips look odd when worn alone.

The highlighters looked very lovely. So shimmery! They were also very cushiony. I felt as if I dipped my finger into a pillow of soft magical highlights! I haven’t had the chance to apply them onto my face yet so I’m not sure if they will transfer as smoothly or how well pigmented they will be.
