Purito Seoul is a skincare brand that I’ve used on and off for years! If you’ve been a long-time follower of mine then you are probably familiar with Purito as I featured some of their skincare products in my monthly favorites. Their old Centella serum and eye cream were two products that I repurchased multiple times! So, when Puroto Korea reached out to me and sent me a box filled with their new and improved Wonder Releaf Line I was over the moon! I will be reviewing the rest of the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella line in a separate blog post but for now, let’s focus on the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented Serum!

MY EXPERIENCE
I been using the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented Serum for over a month. The serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin which is great if you layer on a lot of different products in your skincare regime. The serum is hydrating and refreshing on the skin, leaving your skin feeling replenished and not feeling sticky at all. I started noticing my skin’s texture change in the second week of using the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented Serum. It’s now more smooth, and hydrated, and the redness in my skin is significantly down.
When I first started using this serum I would use this in my AM and PM skincare routine for about 2-3 weeks to get the of what this serum has to offer. As of now, I’ve switched up my routine and only use this serum in the morning after using a toner. I now use the Purito Deep Sea Serum (review coming soon!) in the evening as part of my skincare routine. I follow up with a moisturizer and eye cream, I’m currently using the new Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented Eye Cream, another one of my favorite products from Purito!
As some of you might know, I have mild rosacea that is aggravated by the heat so summers can be brutal on my skin if I don’t take the proper precautions like reapplying sunscreen and staying indoors. However, this serum has saved my skin! Since I began using the Purito Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented Serum I’ve noticed less redness in my skin overall. In fact, I can only count one major rosacea flare-up that has happened this summer. But I think it’s due to this serum that I haven’t had as much redness pop up in my cheeks (where my redness appears) as I usually do. If you struggle with rosacea or any type of redness I highly recommend this serum as it has tremendously helped soothe my skin’s redness.
OLD FORMULA VS NEW FORMULA
I purchased the old Purito Centella Green Level Buffet Serum (that was what it used to be called) four times! They had a scented and unscented serum. I only got a chance to try the scented version, it had an earthy clean scent. Fragrances don’t affect my skin so using the scented serum never triggered any breakouts or rashes but I know that a lot of people who have sensitive skin are prone to allergic reactions if they use scented products which is probably why Purito Korean decided to formulate the Wonder Releaf Centella line to be unscented.
With the release of their new skincare lines, Purito also changed their packaging to have a simpler and clean-looking design which may be Purito’s goal as they are constantly promoting their sensitive skin-safe and gentle ingredients. I’m indifferent about the packaging change. It’s plain but also somewhat boring looking but as long as a skincare product and the containers the product comes in works, I don’t care what the packaging looks like.
Overall, I liked both Purito serums are perfect for those struggling with redness. I prefer the new formula to the old as I saw an improvement in my skin quicker than when I was using the old Purito formula. The changes are subtle but as far as results go, the changes to my skin are more apparent and for that, I’m thankful.
