Welcome back to another oracle card review. In the post, I’ll be reviewing The Rose Oracle Deck. Check out my last oracle card review here. If you don’t like spoilers then you might want to skip this post or not stare at the pictures below for too long as I will be showing all of the cards from the deck.
The Rose Oracle deck was created by Rebecca Campbell with artwork by Katie-Louise. Rebecca Campbell is a writer, poet, mystic, artist, ritualist, and mother. If you’ve ever browsed through oracle decks chances are you’ve come across one of Rebecca Campbell’s oracle decks, The Starseed oracle and Work Your Light Oracle cards.
The Rose Oracle is a deck was created by Rebecca and dedicated to the roses and her deep connection with the roses and the Rose Mother. In terms of symbolism, roses are a symbol of the divine feminine which many connect with. The Rose Oracle comes with 44-cards and a guidebook. The guidebook is very thick, the first half of the book contains information on the rose and its power. The second half of the guidebook explains each one of the cards.

PROS
– Good quality cardstock
– Matte finish
– No reverse meanings
– Comes with a guidebook
– Beautiful artwork
– Unique box
– Inspiration messages
To be honest, when I first received this deck I didn’t automatically connect with it but after a month or two of pulling a day every day, I started looking forward to what card I would pull the following day. I found the messages very insightful and inspirational. Each card comes with a few keywords and either a mantra/affirmation or a journal prompt. The artwork is gorgeous! The whole deck has this feminine style with a floral color palette which adds to the whole rose theme.
The box is very unique, the lid is a triangle which is supposed to be a budding rose. You can place two cards (or the deck) inside the V-shape to showcase your cards. You can also use the other part of the box (the upside-down V) to display your daily card. There are a variety of spreads using the rose lid in the guidebook. This would be the perfect deck for someone intuned with mother nature, a rose lover, an herbalist, or an earth sign.
If you go to The Rose Oracle page on Rebecca Campbell’s website and sign up you get a Mother Rose Spotify playlist, a playback video of The Rose Attunement Oracle event, and an MP3 of The Rose Oracle Attunement. You don’t need to show proof of purchase or anything all this is free when you sign up.
CONS
– Cards stick together
– Difficult to shuffle
– Comes with an extra card
The cards themselves are the same as the Sacred self-care and Moonology cards which have the tendency to stick together making them difficult to shuffle.
The extra card in this deck is The Rose Oracle Attunement Altar Card which is basically a mantra/affirmation that you can say to your deck to connect with it. However, it’s a waste of a card, in my opinion, and they could’ve included the attunement in the guidebook. I will also note that this deck and its messages may sound “woo-woo” to some but I encourage you to open your mind if you choose to add this deck to your collection.
