BT21 Chimmy Plush ♥ Crochet Pattern

After I posted the Van BT21 plush crochet pattern I received a lot of positive feedback and a lot of requests to make the other characters so I will be posting the rest of the BT21 characters crochet patterns! My plan is to post one BT21 pattern a month so please be patient with me as I slowly release each pattern. I create all my patterns on my own and creating a pattern, testing it, writing in down, is a lengthy process. Anyways, the first request I got was to create a Chimmy plush so I made him next.

Chimmy was created by Jimin from BTS. “Born with passion and tries hard at everything.” Chimmy is a black and white dog who wears a yellow hoodie.

Chimmy’s head was the trickiest part to make. Instead of crocheting one round piece I crocheted two pieces and sewed them together which you can’t really tell when sewn together and that’s exactly what I wanted! Overall I’m happy with the finished project and hope that you create a Chimmy of your own!

Supplies:
– H/5.00 mm crochet hook (my favorite hook)
– Yellow worsted weight yarn
– White worsted weight yarn
– Black worsted weight yarn
– Polyfil stuffing
– Black felt
– Slanted tapestry needle (I use these)
– Glue (this is my favorite no-sew glue)
– Scissors

Aberrations
ch(s) – chains
st(s) – stitch(es)
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
flo – front loop only
blo – back loop only
cc – color change
dec – decrease (same as sc2tog)
inc – increase (make 2sc in a single st)
Join – slst
(x_) – repeat (_) amount of times
[x_] – repeat everything inside the [_] times amount of times
FO – finish off
RS- rounds/rows

Pattern Notes

Head (make 2)
With hook and white yarn (Use yellow yarn for the second piece)
Round 1: magic circle, sc 6 sts. Total = 6 sts
Round 2: 2sc in each st all around. Total = 12 sts
Round 3: 2sc in each st all around. Total = 24 sts
Round 4: sc 24 sts. Total = 24 sts
cc to yellow yarn
Round 5: [2sc in next st, sc 1 st](x12). Total = 36 sts
Round 6: sc 10 sts, 2sc in next 4 sts, sc 3 sts, dec 1, sc 3 sts, 2sc in next 4 sts, sc 10 sts. Total = 43 sts
Round 10: sc 43 sts. Total = 43 sts
Cut off and leave long tail (only for 1st piece)
For the second piece, DO NOT CUT OFF. Attach the two face pieces together, right sides facing each other. slst the 2nd piece (the one that should still attached to your hook) to the first piece and sc around. Cut off when you have 10 sts left and turn the piece inside out. Stuff and shape head. Finish by sewing the head closed.

Ears (make 2)
With hook and black yarn
Round 1: ch 9 sts, sc 8 sts. Total = 8 sts
Round 2-9: sc 8 sts. Total = 8 sts
Round 10: [dec 1, sc 2 sts](x2). Total = 6 sts
Cut off and leave long tail for sewing

Legs (make 2)
With hook and yellow yarn 
Round 1: magic circle, sc 8 sts. Total = 8 sts
Round 2-5: sc 8 sts. Total = 8 sts
Cut off and leave long tail for sewing (only for 1st leg)
For the second leg, DO NOT CUT OFF. Attach the second leg by ch 2 sts, slst to a stitch on the first leg. Now you will be creating the body.

Body
With hook and yellow yarn 
Round 1: ch 9 sts, [sc 8 sts, flo sc 2 sts](x2). Total = 20 sts
Rounds 2-9: sc 20 sts. Total = 20 sts
Round 10: [dec 1, sc 1 st](x10). Total = 10 sts
*start stuffing*
Round 11: dec 5 sts. Total = 5 sts
Cut off and leave long tail for sewing

Arms (make 2)
With hook and white yarn
Round 1: magic circle, sc 6 sts. Total = 6 sts
Rounds 2-3: sc 6 sts. Total = 6 sts
cc to yellow
Rounds 4-7: sc 6 sts. Total 6 sts
Cut off and leave long tail for sewing

Assembly
With a scrap of orange yarn, ch 12 sts, tie ends to create a knot and weave this chain where the body meets the head, these are Chimmy’s hoodie strings.

Create Chimmy’s face with black felt cut out two eyes, a nose, and mouth. With pink felt cut out a tongue. Glue the black felt piece over the pink felt piece. Use a black marker to make the line on the tongue. Glue the face down on the center of the white circle and press down lightly to secure.

Time to sew everything. Attach the arms to the side of the Chimmy’s body. Sew the ears on top of his head and finally sew his head to his body.
