Welcome back to another Zodiac sign TBR! If you missed my first post on this series, go check it out. In this series, I’ll be recommending books that I think give off the feeling of a certain zodiac sign. I judge books based on the cover and synopsis to determine what zodiac sign vibes the said book reminds me of, and recommend a few reading selections that I haven’t read before. This month, it’s all about the astrology sign, Gemini! Below, I recommend three novels that I haven’t read yet but assume would be the perfect book for a Gemini to read.
About Gemini
Gemini is the third sign in the astrology wheel. They’re a mutable air sign. They’re also ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. Geminis are all about communication! They love to talk, write, speak, type, any form of communication that allows them to express what they have on their mind. Because Geminis want you to know what’s on their minds! They’re open books with opinions that they think everyone should hear, whether they’re popular or not. Gemini signs also have a charming outgoing personality, they are natural social butterflies! They are also adaptable and can quickly adjust to any situation they’re put in.
Go read my Gemini astrology spotlight for more information on Gemini signs. There is also an astrology spotlight for each of the 12 zodiac signs.

We Love You, Bunny by Mona Awad
When We Love You, Bunny opens, Sam has just published her first novel to critical acclaim. But at a New England stop on her book tour, her one-time frenemies, furious at the way they’ve been portrayed, kidnap her. Now a captive audience, it’s her (and our) turn to hear the Bunnies’ side of the story. One by one, they take turns holding the axe, and recount the birth throes of their unholy alliance, their discovery of their unusual creative powers—and the phantasmagoric adventure of conjuring their first creation. With a bound and gagged Sam, we embark on a wickedly intoxicating journey into the heart of dark academia: a fairy tale slasher that explores the wonder and horror of creation itself. Not to mention the transformative powers of love and friendship, Bunny.
Just how chefs/cooks remind me of Taurus signs, writers are the ideal Gemini profession. Geminis are all about communication and what better way to communicate than through writing? We You Love, Bunny by Mona Awad is the sequel to Bunny. In the first Bunny book, the main character joins a writing group of aspiring writers in hopes of expanding her writing but things take a wrong turn. By the way, if you haven’t read Bunny yet, that would be another book to add to your Gemini TBR!
In We You Love, Bunny, the main character of the novel is on a book tour of her first book, until the members from the writing group in the first book kidnap her! They take turns recounting their perspective of what really happened back when they were in the writing group in college before things took a wrong turn. A lot about this book gives off Gemini vibes, even some of the characters which is why it landed a spot in my Gemini TBR.

Julie Chan Is Dead by Lianna Zhang
Julie Chan has nothing. Her twin sister has everything. Except a pulse.
Julie Chan, a supermarket cashier with nothing to lose, finds herself thrust into the glamorous yet perilous world of her late twin sister, Chloe Van Huusen, a popular influencer. Separated at a young age, the identical twins were polar opposites and rarely spoke, except for one viral video that Chloe initiated (Finding My Long-Lost Twin And Buying Her A House #EMOTIONAL). When Julie discovers Chloe’s lifeless body under mysterious circumstances, she seizes the chance to live the life she’s always envied.
Of course, I had to include a book involving twins because Gemini’s symbol is the twin sign! Did you know that Mary-Kate and Ashley are a famous Gemini duo? Based on the description, Julie Chan is Dead sounds like The Parent Trap but a thriller! This novel also includes social media and influencers which I think is a very Gemini career. Hopefully, I can get a copy of this via Libby before the end of June as I’m expecting this to be an entertaining read!

Several People Are Typing by Calvin Kasulke
Gerald, a mid-level employee of a New York–based public relations firm has been uploaded into the company’s internal Slack channels—at least his consciousness has. His colleagues assume it’s an elaborate gag to exploit the new work-from home policy, but now that Gerald’s productivity is through the roof, his bosses are only too happy to let him work from . . . wherever he says he is.
In this short story, an office worker literally gets stuck in a computer and tries to find a way out by messaging his coworkers to help get him out. This gives off Mercury Retrograde vibes so I had to include it! Remember, Mercury is the planet that rules communication, and during Mercury retrograde, not only is it difficult to communicate but signs ruled by Mercury, Gemini and Virgo especially have a difficult time. I recently got access to this audiobook so do expect a review in my ‘What I read’ series next month!
