Today I have a very simple crochet pattern that you can whip up in seconds, a bread slice! You can use this bread as a coaster, placemat, applique, etc. Get creative! This pattern is easy no matter what crochet skill level you’re on. I also recorded a tutorial for you all, if you ever have difficulty following my patterns hopefully this video will help you out. Supplies
– G/4.25 mm crochet hook (my favorite brand of hook)
– Light Brown worsted weight yarn
– Golden-colored worsted weight yarn
– Slanted tapestry needle (I use these)
– Scissors
Aberrations
ch(s) – chains
st(s) – stitch(es)
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
cc – color change
dec – decrease (same as sc2tog)
inc – increase (same as sc 2 in same st)
(x_) – repeat (_) amount of times
[x_] – repeat everything inside the [_] times amount of times

Bread Slice
With hook and light brown yarn
Row 1: ch 8, starting with 2nd st from hook, sc 7 sts. Total = 7 sts
Rows 2-6: ch 1, sc 7 sts. Total = 7 sts
Row 7: ch 1, 2sc in next st, sc 5 sts, 2sc in next st. Total = 9 sts
Row 8: ch 1, 2sc in next st, sc 7 sts, 2sc in next st. Total = 11 sts
Row 9: ch 1, sc 11 sts. Total = 11 sts
Row 10: ch 1, sc 1 st, hdc, dc, hdc, sc 1 st, slst, sc 1 st, hdc, dc, hdc, sc. Total = 11 sts
DON’T CUT OFF
cc to gold yarn
Sc all around bread slice. Slst at corners for a more defined look.
Cut off and weave loose yarn ends
