Giving a handmade gift on Valentine’s Day is great because it shows that you took out time from your day to create something from your heart for somebody special in your life. I came up with this adorable heart-shaped beverage cozy for Valentine’s Day, it’s a quick project that takes less then an hour to make (so you can make multiple if you want). I wanted to make something useful that your significant other, friend or even a family member can use on a daily basis but still is cute and fits in with the whole heart them of Valentine’s Day. If you do happen to make this please tag me on Instagram I would love to see your creations!
You will need
– I/5.50 mm size crochet hook
– Yarn (I used bulky but you can use whatever you want)
– Scissors
– Yarn needle
Abbreviations
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
dec – decrease crochet
inc – increase crochet
I used two different colors of yarn to create my heart cozy but I think it would also look nice if the cozy was one color, it’s really up to you. Another cute idea would be to surface crochet (or embroider) your name or the name of the person whom you are giving the cozy to.

With your crochet hook still on the previous st sc around your heart shape so you can make the heart smoother.
Time to sew the two hearts together! I used four x stitches to sew the hearts together.
