☆ This week, I took a week off from creating “content” online because I had a bad case of carpal tunnel. I must have overworked myself or triggered something in my right arm which caused my hands, arms, shoulders, and neck to act up. It was frustrating because I had so many things I wanted to do but my body didn’t want to cooperate with me, so I was forced to take a break. You never know how much you use your arm (the pain was in my dominant arm) until you’re forced to not use it. I watched and tried so many videos with hand stretches, and found that this video (and this video) helped alleviate pain the most. I feel a lot better now, but I will be focusing on stretches to help strengthen this area to prevent any future pain.

☆ One thing I did manage to do this week was give my sewing machine a deep clean. Sewing was one of my New Year’s Resolutions this year because I want to be able to sew cute clothes for my Blythe dolls. However, the last time I used my sewing machine it kept having issues so I did some research, and decided to give my machine a defluff and oiling because I had never cleaned it before and I’ve had this machine for over 15 years! This worked! My sewing machine has never worked this smoothly! Because I didn’t want to strain my right arm, I only managed to work on one of my projects, and that was to hem an old Blythe dress. Another hobby has been unlocked!

☆ My last three shorts on YouTube got over 1k views! Shorts can help you get your subscriber count up and have more people view your YouTube channel, however, I’m not a short-form content consumer. I prefer long-form videos! So, it’s a weird place to be. I know I shouldn’t care about the views and enjoy what I’m posting (which I do!) but it is disheartening when you work hard on a video and it doesn’t get the response you imagined.
