What I Watched
X-Men ’97 – Disney+
A band of mutants use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them; they’re challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.
I really enjoyed X-Men’97! It was a bit dramatic and cheesy at parts but it was a delight seeing the X-Men again! If anything, this series gave me hope that the MCU can do the X-Men right IF they continue to have actual X-Men fans of the comics and original TV series work on the X-Men.
Ted Lasso – Apple TV
American college football coach Ted Lasso heads to London to manage AFC Richmond, a struggling English Premier League soccer team.
I decided to start watching Ted Lasso the LAST WEEK of my Apple TV free trial (I know, I should’ve started this series sooner!). This series is so wholesome in a way that makes you adore every character (eventually) despite most of them going through some dark times in their lives. And, no this show doesn’t focus on football/soccer too much, if it did I wouldn’t have binged all three seasons in less than 2 weeks because I’m not one for sports or anything related to sports! haha
Bridgerton Season 3 (part 1) – Netflix
The eight close-knit siblings of the Bridgerton family look for love and happiness in London high society.
I’ll admit it, Bridgerton is a guilty pleasure of mine. I’ve been a fan since the first season. Yes, it can be cheesy and cringe at times and I’m not one for romance but I do enjoy watching this series. I’m so happy that Penelope is finally getting her moment to shine! I was surprised to see that only part one was posted in May and that I have to count down the days until the next part is released!
Baby Reindeer – Netflix
The story follows writer and performer Richard Gadd’s warped relationship with a female stalker and the impact it has on him as he is ultimately forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.
After hearing a lot about this series, I gave Baby Reindeer a watch, the series was short which I appreciated! I found it super fascinating that the guy who plays the lead is the actual guy who this all happened to which is just mind-blowing to think that the same person could relive their traumic experiences by it all acting out and having everything filmed for Netflix! If you watched, Baby Reindeer let me know your thoughts.
Frida – Amazon Prime
A raw and magical journey into the life of iconic artist Frida Kahlo, told through her own words from diaries, letters, essays, and interviews. Vividly brought to life with lyrical animation inspired by her unforgettable artwork.
I’m currently reading a book on Frida Kahlo and wanted to watch something to learn more about her as I only know brief details about her life. In this lyrical documentary-style animation, you hear excerpts from Frida’s dairies and see photographs, videos, and of course, her artwork. This was done in a very artistic way and was a gorgeous watch. If you’re a fan of Frida Kahlo I think you’ll enjoy this.

Things I Did
Celebrated my older sister
In May, it was my older sister’s birthday. We celebrated her by going out to eat at a restaurant that she’d been wanting to visit. Afterward, we went to the mall and shopped. It was a cute day. I gifted her some handmade things which I know she always appreciates, she’s the only one in my family who values my handmade things. haha
Crafted more
I was very crafty in May! I even posted a craft vlog on my YouTube channel! I’ve been feeling very creative lately in all different types of mediums not just content creation or crochet but with painting and drawing! It’s been a joy to express myself in different creative ways.
Reached Section 2 in Korean on Duolingo
Yup, I’m still doing Duolingo! I didn’t think I would still be using this pp but here I am 2 months later! I know this isn’t the ideal language learning tool to use if you want to be fluent in a language but it’s a great way to sneak in a quick lesson when you’re busy with life which is what I enjoy about Duolingo.
Started tapping
I just started tapping/EFT about a week ago but have already noticed a shift in my mood. I’ve been trying to incorporate a tapping session every day to help me get through some personal things that I’m currently struggling with. It may not be for everyone but if there is something you want (or want to get rid of) it wouldn’t hurt you to try tapping it away, yes you feel silly doing it but it’s free and doesn’t require much effort. This is my favorite tapping channel to watch.

Things I Love
Sanrio items
May was filled with a lot of Sanrio-related things! First, I scored by finding a Hello Kitty and Friends sticker book and a shirt for $2 each! Then, I came across these adorable Sanrio pouches which I crocheted. I finished off the month by painting an old Hello Kitty brush holder. It was a super cute month filled with Hello Kitty and her friends!

Wow, I can’t believe what your Hello Kitty brush holder looked like beforehand! You gave it such an incredible transformation ????
I really want to watch Ted Lasso, but I don’t have the streaming service it’s on – and I already have 3 – and I don’t trust myself to cancel the free trial in time ????
I’m also really intrigued by Baby Reindeer but I think it would upset me too much, I can be really affected by what I watch. I’ve also read into a lot about the creator and the woman it’s about and I have mixed feelings about the situation. He said he put a lot of effort into no one being found for privacy reasons, but he put HIMSELF in the show?
Clearly others were going to be found, and that’s dangerous considering how mentally unwell this woman seems (I’m going off what I’ve read about the show and interviews the real woman has done), so I feel more uneasy about watching it. If it was fiction it would be easier, but knowing it’s real makes me feel worse.

Yeah, I know! I’m pleased with how the Hello Kitty turned out!
I had a free 3-month Apple TV subscription that I got with my new phone a couple of months ago so I decided to take advantage and watch Ted Lasso. It was cute. I probably wouldn’t watch it if I didn’t have it. haha
All the drama about Baby Reindeer is so strange, to be honest, I haven’t had time to go through it all but I know the main woman his stalker is based on came out and did an interview and is now suing Netflix. I should probably go down the rabbit hole one day to find out all the details. ♥
