Welcome to October or should I say Blogtober! Like I mentioned in my weekly edit I will be posting every weekday in October. Some of these posts with being Halloween themed but some won’t like today’s post. However, I did try to sprinkle some spooky decorations in each post to celebrate the spooky season.
I’m starting off Blogtober with my monthly favorites. This time instead of posting two separate monthly favorites I decided to merge both beauty and lifestyle items into one post because I didn’t have many that favorites in share.
Mediheal Collagen Impact Essential Mask
A new mask I tried in September was this Mediheal facial mask. I bought it because it has collagen which is exceptional at fighting against wrinkles. The fit of the mask was a bit big but it didn’t swallow me up like other Korean masks that I’ve used. What sold me on this mask was the essence of the mask it wasn’t too sticky or wet it was a perfect consistency.
*Maple Holistics Tea Tree Oil Special Formula Shampoo
Maple Holistics kindly sent me this product to try and it was the only shampoo I used in September because I love it! I struggle with hair loss, thin dry hair and dandruff so finding a shampoo that fits all my needs can be tricky. Thankfully, this shampoo is made from tea tree oil which contains many therapeutic benefits such as improving hair and scalp health while promoting hair growth. The shampoo lathers really nicely and makes my hair feel clean after using it. Plus it’s cruelty-free and I’m all about that life!
If you are interested in this shampoo you can purchase it here. They also sell their products on Amazon!
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Nail Coat
I used to be loyal to the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat but when I became cruelty-free I had to say goodbye to that product. Thankfully Seche Vite doesn’t test on animals and it dries just as fast as the Sally Hansen topcoat! They are around the same price (at least on Amazon) so if you have to choose between the two I highly recommend Seche Vite because they don’t hurt animals!
China Glaze Nail Lacquer – Sorry I’m Latte
Now onto another cruelty-free nail polish brand, China Glaze. I shared this polish in my drugstore haul along with another shade. I’m normally not a nude polish type of gal but every now and then I just want my nails to look clean and polished (pun intended) which is why I decided to get this color. The nail varnish is a beige nude creme with a hint of pink.
Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint – Exposed
The only makeup product to make it into my favorites this month is this lip paint by Tarte. I adore pink nude lip colors so it was a no-brainer why I was attracted to Exposed. The formula is a bit drying so try not to apply too much. Aside from that, I love the color and it stays on for a pretty decent amount of time.
Pitaya Plus Organic Dragon Fruit Super Fruit Smoothie Packs
I bought this pack of organic dragon fruit last weekend at Sprout’s to make acai bowls with and I am obsessed! I never used proper acai to make acai bowls so I can’t compare the taste, however, this stuff is refreshingly tart. I like to mix a bit of other frozen fruit, dairy-free yogurt, and almond milk to help add sweetness. I top the acai bowl with other fruit, chia seeds, and unsweetened coconut flakes.
Marshmallow Pop Scented Soy Candle
My goal in September was to use up as many candles as I could possibly and I am proud to say that I finished all the candles I wanted to last night which is perfect timing! Out of all the candles, I used up the Marshmallow candle is my favorite one. I’m pretty sure I featured this in a monthly favorites post back when I got it but I decided to feature it again. I bought it from Target a few years ago and it smells like sweets and happiness!
