This week, my sweet pomeranian, Lucy, celebrated her milestone birthday of 10 years! I still remember the day we went to pick up Lucy. She’s my first dog so any pet I owe after her will have a high standard to live up to. To celebrate Lucy’s 10th birthday, I thought it would be cute to share some fun facts about Lucy with you all. If you ever wanted to know about Lucy (because who wouldn’t?) now is the perfect time because I’ll be sharing 30 facts about her.
LUCY FUN FACTS
♡ She’s a twin!
♡ Lucy’s given name was ‘muñequita’ which means dolly in Spanish
♡ Lucy’s mother’s name was Linda (I forgot her twin’s name)
♡ Her Sun is in Pisces and a Moon in Scorpio (if you know, you know)
♡ It was between the names Lucy and Eevee. Names I picked after my favorite Animal Crossing villager and Pokemon
♡ She’s a natural blonde! However, when she was the size of a tater tot she had a lot of brown around her nose area so I thought she would be darker, to my surprise she became blonde as she grew older
♡ She stopped growing at age 4-5
♡ She can only poop and pee outside
♡ She has anxiety (like me, lol)
♡ She has separation issues
♡ She doesn’t chew random things (I’m thankful for this as I hear a lot of dogs like to chew up random things)
♡ She’s a picky eater even with human food!
♡ She likes to sleep on my socks but doesn’t chew or steal them. If she sees them she’ll go and use them as a pillow!
♡ When it’s raining, she’ll wait on the doormat and wait until I dry her off with a towel. Such a diva!
♡ She’s sassy AF!
♡ She loves the sand and snow
♡ She loves listening to Lofi music
♡ She doesn’t like kids. She’s gotten used to my nephew but when I’m walking her I have to avoid children because they always want to pet her (because who wouldn’t?) and she’ll bark at the kids. Lucy didn’t grow up around kids so she’s not used to their chaotic behavior
♡ She hates fireworks and loud squeaky noises
♡ She loves wearing clothing
♡ She has no problem taking pills, I guess she thinks they’re treats? haha
♡ She sleeps on my bed every night
♡ She hates baths but loves getting a blowout
♡ Her favorite foods are peanut butter, cheese, sweet potatoes, whipped cream, and ice cream
♡ She has 2 moles on her tongue (one on the tip and one in the back)
♡ I use purple shampoo and conditioner when I bathe her because blonde
♡ I regularly bathe and trim her hair
♡ She loves the idea of a walkies more than the actual walk
♡ She’s scared of her farts (loud squeaky noise)
♡ She loves people who give her attention
