What I Watched
The Crown
This show has been on my watchlist for such a long time and with the release of season 4 of The Crown, I decided to binge all seasons as soon as I could. I know there was some drama over the recent season (if not all) not being historically accurate. There were many times where I was confused about certain events and if they happened or not. I don’t mind if some small details weren’t accurate but bigger events (beginning of season 4) I think shouldn’t be messed with.
The Wilds
I literally just finished this series a few days ago. It’s about a group of girls who get shipwrecked onto a mysterious island after their plane strangely goes down. It’s one of those shows where they keep time jumping so the order of which events take place was kind of confusing to understand. It did keep me on my toes wondering what’s going to happen next but I had so many questions and by the time the last episode ended, there were no answers and a whole new set of questions! It also ended with a cliffhanger which is annoying because this means I have to wait until a new season comes out! You can find it over on Amazon Prime. If anybody saw this series let me know your thoughts.
Soul
On Christmas day, I watched Soul with Lucy. It was really cute and at one point even made me cry (darn, you Pixar!). It really made you think about your “soul purpose in life” afterward. Go watch it if you haven’t it’s on Disney+.

Goosebumps: Welcome to DeadCast Podcast
For the majority of December, I listen to Goosebumps: Welcome to DeadCast podcast, a Goosebumps podcast. I never read Goosebumps as a kid because I was afraid of the book covers (I was a scaredy-cat as a kid! haha) but now as an adult who likes scary stuff, I’m vicariously reading/listening to the Goosebumps books as told by the hilarious terror twins, hosts of the podcast. The podcast started back in 2014 so I’m currently working my way down and I’m really enjoying it! If you’re a fan of the Goosebumps series and all things 90’s nostalgic I recommend this podcast to you.
Things I Did
Build a gingerbread house
Gingerbread houses are my favorite Christmas activities and I always enjoy decorating them! This year, I tried a hot glue method where you use hot glue instead of the icing to stick the base of the house so the house doesn’t crumble and it did work! I shared a photo of it over on Instagram on Christmas.
Made sweater sugar cookies
My mom bought a box of sweater cookies (similar to the ones we made last year before I left for Korea) that she wanted all us to decorated. However, after reading the box it said that we had to make them ourselves! So, on Christmas Eve, my older sister and I baked sugar cookies and I decorated them all by myself. I even made a Grinch wearing a Grinch sweater cookie! lol
What I Bought
Christmas gifts
I’m so glad Christmas is over! I dread buying Christmas gifts because I never know if the gift receiver will actually use the gift and I hate wasting my money on something that isn’t going to be used. Hopefully, everyone that I gave a gift to will use their gift this year. haha
Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Cards
Not a fan of the name because of the word “Gypsy” and the fact it shouldn’t be used. With that said, I bought these cards for myself because I want to learn how to use/read Lenormand cards, cards that are said to tell fortunes. I saw many reviews online that say these cards are strangely accurate which intrigued me. While I do like the theory that these might predict the future I’m not someone who believes everything they read or hear without doing their own research. This is why I’m going to learn and see for myself if they work or not. Have any of you used these before
Things I Love
Christmas lights
Probably my favorite thing about the holiday season is all the lights! There were times in December where I took a nap with the Christmas tree lights on and it was so lovely to wake up to. There is something about Christmas fairy lights that make everything magical.
Naturie Hatomugi Skin Condtioner
It’s a lightweight hydrating liquid that you can use either as a toner or as an essence. It’s so hydrating, cooling, and makes my face really soft, and it’s only $10! I think this would make a perfect sheet mask essence. How I use it: I cup my hands (so the liquids don’t get everywhere) and pat it into my face until the liquid is absorbed. I do this 2-3 times.

Goals for next month
Complete two yoga journeys
I’m starting off my year by participating in two yoga journeys, Breath – A 30 Day Yoga Journey and Boho Beautiful 14 Day Yoga Journey. One of the best things I did last year was to start practicing yoga daily. I’ve fallen in love with downwards dogs, extended child pose, and vinyasas. My body has not only gotten stronger as a result but I’ve noticed muscles in places I never had before! Feel free to join me so we can be yoga buddies and support each other.
Return to blogging
If you didn’t notice, I took a blogging break back in December. I didn’t want to stress myself out with the holiday season and all so I took a break and just chilled. Now, that it’s a new year, I’m returning to blogging! I’m so excited to start creating new content for you all.
Start a Tik-Tok
I’m not one who follows trends or stays up-to-date with what the younger generations are doing so Tik-Tok was never something I would gravitate to. However, because it’s still a new platform and hasn’t been corrupted by any stupid algorithms I thought I might give it a go. I was thinking of maybe starting a Tik-Tok for my crochet projects and share tips and simple patterns. Are any of you on Tik-Tok?

Happy New Year, Michelle! What an awesome recap of December. It's great that you were able to take a blogging break; it's sometimes needed for us to rest and be inspired again. It also allowed you to enjoy the holiday season. I totally agree about lights being one of the best things about Christmas. I enjoy seeing them and the room just feels a lot more magical with it. Wishing you all the best for this year ♡

I'm glad you enjoy reading my post! Yeah, I'm feeling really refreshed and ready to get back to blogging. I agree, I needed a rest to get inspired again but I'm so happy to be back! I actually just took down my Christmas decorations *cries* but I kept the fairy lights around my room so I can have a little bit of the magic all year long! haha ♥
