Back when I got my 2016 Happy Planner I made a post on my first impressions of the planner. After using the planner for a year I grew to love the Happy Planner so much that I decided to repurchase it again this year (Even though I still haven’t bought it yet!). Anyways, this year Create 365 or MAMBI decided to release a smaller version of their popular Happy Planner. So today I am sharing my first impressions on the mini Happy Planner.
The size is a lot smaller then I thought it would be. It’s about the size on my hand for someone reason I was expecting to be a couple more inches bigger. I added a picture with the original size happy planner to compare the two sizes. There is also a bigger version of the Happy Planner but I don’t have that size so I can’t compare all of the sizes. I think the Mini Happy Planner is travel friendly so it’s perfect for those who go to school or live a busy life and want to keep a portable organizer.
When you first open the planner you see this welcoming page. They provide a line where you can write in your name. The next pages contain the 2017-2018 yearly calendars.
Next is the monthly calendar. I like to use this to schedule what blog posts I’m going to publish on each day of the week. The bottom left corner has a flower which kind of annoys me to be honest. The flower designs vary for each month. I will probably cover the flowers with a sticker or washi tape once summer is over to fit in with my monthly themes better.
The Mini Happy Planners come with a horizontal layout. There are 8 long horizontal boxes. The last box is for notes. In the notes section, there is a square box that is different every week sometimes there is an inspirational quote, weekly highlight, word of the week, etc. I really love the addition of this box! The center of the weekly calendar has a black and white pattern in the middle that is reminiscent of washi tape. There are only two different designs throughout the whole planner, stripes and polka dots.
On the last page of the month right before a new month starts is a favorites page. You can list all your monthly favorites on this page like what you’ve been loving, crafting, feeling, dreaming, listening, improving, etc. There is also a section for birthdays, important dates throughout the month and an I’m grateful for section. This is my favorite part of the planner because it will help me remember all of my monthly favorites!
Lastly, we have the notes section, which only contains one page for notes. I don’t use the notes section so this doesn’t bother me but if you like to have a couple of pages to doodle on then this could be disappointing.
