On the fifth day of Christmas, I made crocheted this for you, a Splatoon squid plush! This year one of my favorite games I played was by far Splatoon. I was never really interested in Splatoon before but when we bought our Wii U we got the Splatoon bundle so I played it and fell in love with it! Today’s DIY project is on how to crochet the little squid creatures in the game. I thought the Starbucks snowman cookie was my favorite crochet project I’ve made so far but, to be honest, this is probably my favorite!
You will need
– Worsted weight yarn (pick whatever color you like)
– Black felt
– White felt
– H/5.0 size crochet hook
– Yarn needle
– Glue
– Stuffing
– Scissors

Assembly
At this point, you have three squid tentacles. To connect the tentacles sew three stitches close with yarn needle until you have one piece with three tentacles. Insert your hook to the piece and sc all around. You should have 30 sts all around (x5). Stuff both the pieces and sew closed.
Now it’s time to cut out eyes! You are going to need four parts, the outer black part, the inner white part, and the two eyeballs. You can trace all these parts on a piece of paper to serve as a template if you like. I just winged it! After you cut out the felt pieces glue them on the squid.
You are now finished! You can create multiple colors like the squids in the game and give out to your loved ones who enjoy playing Splatoon!
Have you played Splatoon?

Could you please make a male and female splatoon inkling hat?

aw this is so cute! I just made it, and it turned out wonderfully! I stitched the eyes instead of doing felt, and altered it so there are four tentacles, so as to make it more true to the in-game ones. I normally just wing my alterations, so I didn't write down a pattern, unfortunately. thank you so much for making this pattern!
