On the eighth day of 12 Days of DIY, I made crocheted for you, a polar bear rug! This is hands down the most difficult crochet pattern I’ve made thus far. I had to unravel, crochet and unravel, again and again, it drove me crazy! Lucky, for you guys I perfected this pattern so you don’t have to make all the mistakes I made. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and let me know if you end up making this polar ice bear rug.
Slst – slip stitch
Dec – decrease
Sc – single crochet
Blo – back loop only
Body
– Ch 41 sts, dc starting with the 2nd ch from hook. Total = 40 sts
– Ch 1, turn, dc 40 sts (x35). Total = 40 sts
Cut off, weave in loose ends

Cut off, leave long tail for sewing. Sew the 14 stitches closed and weave in ends

When I crochet this bear, I will try surface crochet with an eyelash yarn
to add some furry softness. Many WIP's ahead of the bear project, tho'.
Thank you for the base pattern to get me started.

I would've surfaced crocheted the eyelashes on but I was really tired at the time. All the trial and error I had with this pattern really wore me out. I'm glad you like the rug and hope you share pictures of your finished creation! ♥
