Winter Sock and Mitten Garland ♥ Crochet Pattern

Hi, it’s Michelle from 2025! I’ve been going back to my past crochet patterns and reformatting my old patterns so that they’re easier to understand. I first posted this pattern back in 2017! It was part of my ’12 Days of DIY’ Blogmas series, where I would post 12 DIY projects leading up to Christmas in December. Baby Michelle was sure ambitious! lol
You can adjust this pattern by selecting whatever colors you prefer and making the garland bigger (or smaller) to fit your space. Most of my garlands are smaller because I like them to fit under my bulletin board, but you can easily adjust the size of this winter garland by adding or removing extra chains. This winter sock and mitten garland is one of my favorite garlands! I hang it over my desk every holiday season, when I decorate my bedroom for the festive season. It never fails to put a smile on my face! Hopefully, it will do the same for you!
If you crochet this project, you can post it on Ravelry or tag me @mooeyscrochet so that I can see your creation. If you would like to support me in making this crochet pattern available for free, you can send me a Ko-fi. Check out all of my free crochet patterns here and my shop to see my original crocheted items.

STOCKING ASSEMBLY
Crochet the two socks and sew them together by sewing around the edges, leave the top of the sock open. Insert your G hook and slst white yarn and crochet around the opening until you’ve reached the desired length of the white part of the stocking. I crochet 4-5 rounds of single crochet. Fold the white part down and leave as is or you can sew it down.

GARLAND ASSEMBLY
Using beige or tan yarn, ch 10 sts. Slst to st to 1st st to form a loop. ch 30, attach to either a mitten or stocking by performing a slst to the side or middle of said mittens or stocking. ch 10-15 and slst to another mitten or stocking. Repeat, alternating with a mitten or sock each time until you reach the end. Ch 40, slst to the tenth stitch from your hook, slst to create another loop, and cut off. Weave in all loose yarn ends. Place clothesline pins for a cute look!
