What I Watched
KPop Demon Hunters – Netflix
A world-renowned K-Pop girl group balance their lives in the spotlight with their secret identities as demon hunters.

I was sort of hesitant to watch KPop Demon Hunters because I’m not really a fan of whatever this current generation of K-pop we’re currently on sounds like. But, I love animation and the characters look cute, so I gave it a shot and I loved it! The music was so-so for me, it’s heavenly influenced by the Blackpink and the newer BTS music, which I’m not too crazy about, but some songs are catchy. I thought the story was fun, the characters were very charming, and the animation was incredible! I heard they’re planning on making two more films (hopefully, focusing on the other two characters), a live-action, and even a musical production…hopefully, they don’t ruin the magic of this film by overexposing it too quickly.

Squid Game (Season 3) – Netflix
Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept a strange invitation to compete in children’s games. A tempting prize awaits, but with deadly high stakes.

I’ll start off by saying that I didn’t enjoy the second half of season 3 of Squid Game. I will spoil some stuff, so if you haven’t finished this series, skip the rest of my rant. First off, why did they have to kill of all the women characters so early? I hated seeing all the finalists being men. The reason the first season did so well was that they had a badass female character whom a lot of people were rooting for! I wasn’t rooting for anyone at the end, not even Lee Jun-jae’s character! And the fact that they made two women kill themselves was just frustrating! Plus, the baby! I hated what they did with the baby! Like, I don’t care how new of a mom you are, why would you leave your new baby with a strange man you only met a few days ago? Did they have any women in the writers’ room? In the end, all they even did with the baby, is pass her around like she was a baked potato! So, frustrating. And don’t get me started on the ending! Hated it! The celebrity cameo was completely unnecessary! I, don’t have any interest in watching an American version of Squid Game. So, yeah. If you watch this season of Squid Game, let me know your thoughts.

My Melody & Kuromi – Netflix
My Melody’s new cake shop thrives after finding a mysterious heart. Rival Kuromi’s shop struggles. Both prepare for a contest judged by Chef Pistachio, unaware it’ll endanger Mariland.

This was such a cute series!. If you love Sanrio or kawaii characters, you wll love this series! The animation is modern-day stop-motion, and everything is made out of wool! I was so inspired!
It’s slightly dark but, you know I have a dark side, so I loved it! Sweet Piano is my spirit animal!

JiaJia Dolls World – YouTube
Here, I invite you into a cozy and creative space where I share my love for dolls, crafts, knitting, and food. From creating beautiful clothes for my dolls to exploring a variety of delicious dishes, especially the comforting flavors of Chinese food, every moment here reflects the beauty of my everyday life. I embrace the finer details and creativity in life, and hope to inspire and warm your heart along the way. Whether it’s crafting clothes for my dolls or experimenting with recipes in my little kitchen, I enjoy every step of the creative journey and invite you to join me in experiencing the simple joys of life. A video of JiaJia’s Doll World was recommended to me and I instantly fell for her whimsical aesthetic! She posts craft and knit vlogs, documenting the process of the projects she is working on. I love seeing her knit the tiny Blythe socks and sweaters!

Things I Did

Started Gua Sha massages
I bought a rose quartz gua sha massage tool on a whim after someone whom I follow on social media mentioned that gua sha helped de-puff their face, sculpt, and “lift” their face. I have a very round “moon face” which I have always felt insecure about it, so I decided to give gua sha a try. The tool was only $3 cheaper than V-line face surgery! I love the Tina Engeo gua sha videos. I created a 5-minute routine after watching a few of her videos. I mainly focus on the lower half of my face. My gua sha evening routine is very relaxing, but I’ve struggled with my morning gua sha routine, so I may only do it in the PM. I have noticed that my cheeks feel less puffy and my neck area looks more sculpted!

I celebrated my 32nd Birthday!
I turned 32 on July 14. It’s wild to believe I made it to this age. I never believed I would reach my 30s, I know, dark. But, I thought the world would’ve exploded or something before I reached my 30s. Anyway, to make it to my 32nd birthday is strange. I still feel like a kid but with more responsibilities, and I don’t recover as quickly as I used to in my 20s. But I know I’m still young. You’re as young or old as you think you are, and I still feel young, plus it doesn’t hurt that I don’t look my age. lol

A LOT has changed in a year. And, if I’m honest, it’s getting hard to feel hopeful about the future, given the state of the world and where I live. I’ve said it before, I’m stupidly optimistic that things will get better, they have to, right? Anyways, cheers to being 32!

My second bujo of the year
I started my second journal of 2025 in July. There is something so satisfying about beginning a new journal. Imagine all the possibilities!

Went to Savannah, Georgia
We took a spontaneous trip down to Savannah, Georgia, during the July 4th weekend. I blogged about my trip to Savannah and all we did. Next time I visit, I’ll need to research some cute places to visit because it’s such a beautiful city and I would love to explore more of it!

Participated in a Mermaid Readathon (again)
In July, I participated in another Mermaid Readathon hosted by TheBrightSideGirl. This is my second time joining in on this reading challenge. Go read my mermaid readathon wrap-up post to check out all the books I read during the 2-week readathon and my thoughts on each of the books read.

Things I Love
Revlon Kiss Tinted Lip Balm with SPF 20 – Strawberry
I’m so glad that more makeup brands are putting SPF in lip products. I always use a sunscreen lip balm underneath my lip products, but I know that the sun protection doesn’t work as well under a makeup product. This Kiss Tinted lip balm by Revlon hydrates the lips, the color is buildable, and leaves a nice shade of pink on the lips. I wish the SPF was higher but overall, it’s a wonderful lip balm. Make sure you’re protecting your lips!

L’Oreal Paris Makeup True Match Lumi Glotion – Fair
I wear minimal makeup and usually rely on a bit of BB cream, cushion, or tinted sunscreen, and concealer to make me look alive. I was searching for a new product to test out, and read a lot of good reviews on the L’Oreal Lumi Glotion. It’s similar to the Etude House Blur base, just a little bit of tint and blur effect to give you a healthy glow!

Concha AirPods Case
I got some new AirPods for my birthday, so I needed a new case. I’ve been eyeing the strawberry concha AirPod case for a long time. It’s so cute and I’ve been loving it!

Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion – Nintendo Switch
About a month ago, I was looking up gameplays of some of my childhood games on YouTube. During this search, I came across some of the Bratz games. I was obsessed with the Bratz games for the PlayStation 2. In fact, I still have them! I came across a new Bratz game for the Nintendo Switch that was released last year so I had to give this game a play! It’s not as good as the PlayStation games because I feel like they’re not as long and you don’t have as my hair, makeup, and clothes options. However, they’re still fun and cozy! Cozy fashion games, anyone? A second game is slated to be released later this year which I can’t wait for!
