Seasons of the Witch: Litha ♥ Review

Welcome back to another deck review. In the post, I’ll be reviewing the Seasons of the Witch: Litha. Check out my last deck review here. Continue reading to find out my thoughts and opinions on this deck.

The Seasons of the Witch: Litha oracle deck was written by Lorriane Anderson and Juliet Diaz and illustrated by Tijana Lukovic. Lorriane Anderson is a multidisciplinary spiritual teacher, writer, and soul-based entrepreneur who focuses heavily on intentional and energetic living as well as using spiritual practices as a pathway to profound healing, growth, and transformation. Juliet Diaz is an Indigenous Taino Cubana from a long line of curanderos and brujas who is a multiple bestselling author and the founder of Spirit Bound Press. Tijana Lukovic is an illustrator based in Gent, Belgium. Her paintings and illustrations are inspired by the magickal and metaphysical realms, containing traces of folklore, fairy tales, mythology, and a love of nature. Tijana Lukovic has also illustrated the Seasons of the Witch Mabon, Ostara, Imbolc, Lammas oracle decks, planner, calendar, journals, and tarot decks.

The Seasons of the Witch: Litha Oracle is the sixth installment in the SOTW oracle deck series. Litha is one of the eight sabbats in the witches’ Wheel of the Year. It contains 44 cards and an illustrated guidebook. This oracle deck is part of the Seasons of the Witch oracle deck collection, which is based around the Wheel of the Year and the eight Wiccan Sabbats that include Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh/Lammas, Mabon, and Samhain.

ABOUT LILTHA

Litha is the halfway mark of the year that marks the beginning of the summer season. It is also referred to as the summer solstice or midsummer in the northern hemisphere. This year, Litha will begin on June 21st, which also happens to be the longest day of the year.

The Seasons of the Witch: Litha oracle cards are printed on glossy, rounded printed cards. The edges are colored in a beautiful metallic purple color. The cards shuffle easily because of the slip from the glossy card finish.

This is one of my favorite oracle decks to use, and not just because it has a Cancer card! The gorgeous whimsical artwork on these cards is pure magic! I feel like all of Tijana’s work is ethereal! What makes the SOTW oracle decks bewitching and enchanting is the stunning artwork on these cards. The messages and wisdom work harmoniously with the illustrations. Every time I pull a card from any of the SOTW, I can’t help but swoon over these cards. The colors, shades, tones, working, phrases, people, everything, is alluring!

The guidebook in the Season of the Witch: Litha contains a lot of informative knowledge, as well as card spread ideas. The booklet is completely colored, and each card comes with a written description along with spells, affirmations, meditations, magickal practices, recipes, ritual ideas, and so much more! There is also a QR code at the end of the book that contains bonus material.

More Things To Consider

• Glossy finish

This is just a preference, but I’m not a huge fan of cards with a glossy finish because of the glare these cards cause in pictures. They just don’t photograph well, and I often use my cards as a decorative piece in my flatlay photos. However, when I use these cards in my personal readings, I don’t mind the glossy finish.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been searching for a cute whimsicle witchy aesthetic deck that embodies everything that being a nature-loving spiritual practitioner represents, I highly recommend all of the Season of the Witch Oracle decks! I currently only have two, but I would love to complete the whole set and also start collecting their seasonal tarot decks. These are the perfect seasonal tools to work with in your practice.
