MUNDANE MAGIC ☆ 193-194

☆ Sorry I’ve been so bad at blogging the past couple of weeks. If you follow me on Instagram, I decided to take last week’s Magic Mundane off because I’ve been having some bad mental health weeks. Offline, I’ve been dealing with some stressful stuff that’s been really overwhelming me which has triggered my anxiety and depression. In the past, when I was struggling I always had Lucy to turn to for comfort. She always comforted me with her licks and cuddles. But, now that she’s gone I’ve had to navigate my mental health without her and it’s been really difficult. I got Lucy when I was 21 and didn’t really develop depression until my mid-20s so I never had to deal with my depression alone, or at least without a dog.

Handling the grief alone has been difficult but I also don’t want to bring it up constantly. I also don’t want to worry people. I’m fine on some days and I know time will heal everything, but for now I’m letting myself feel whatever emotions want to show up. It’s interesting how a year ago, I was in therapy and Lucy had just had her surgery. Both of us were slowly healing. A year sure can change a lot…

☆ On a positive note, one thing that’s been helping me amongst my depressive episodes is my Blythe dolls! No surprise, I know! My dolls have been a constant feature in my weekly posts. If you follow my Substack, you know that I’ve been posting regularly over there. In fact, my Blythe doll’s Colorado travel diary went up before my own, I know! I also recently welcomed another new doll to my Blythe doll family! I know I just bought a new girl, but I found an incredible deal on this girl and she was an anniversary doll, which are rare and more sought-after because they don’t produce as many. She’s the most gorgeous doll!! I also filmed an unboxing video of her on my YouTube channel. Side note, I’m sooooo close to 700 subscribers on YouTube! ☆ It’s also officially autumn! Yes, I’m one of those people who enjoys saying autumn instead of fall. Fall just sounds so basic and there are plenty of times to use the word fall whereas you really only say autumn when addressing the season. lol

☆ GBBO is back! I’m sooooo excited! You know it’s officially cozy season (or should I say cosy? lol) when The Great British Bake Off returns! I haven’t watched the first episode yet, but I plan to watch it later today while getting my daily steps! Have you watched the first episode yet? Do you have any favorites yet?
