☆ My older sister recently came back from Iceland (again), and she brought me some cute gifts! I featured some of the items in my Magical Moments post. She bought me back some chamomile and lavender tea, rose soap, coffee and cream chocolate, Iceland post cards, and a cat sticker from the popular cat cafe. It was so sweet for her to think of me while on her trip!

☆ One of my reading goals for this year was to read the original historical American Girl Dolls books. So far, I’ve only read a few books (I’m not having the best reading year tbh), but I recently discovered the Dolls of Out Lives podcast, which is a podcast where the two historians read and go through all of the American Girl Doll books. I feel like this is the perfect way to motivate myself to read the historical American Girl Dolls books quicker and I’ve already been doing it! I’ve been starting by reading all the Meet series and then following up by listening to the corresponding episode. It’s been a fun way to learn more about the time period the American Girl Doll would’ve grown up in. It’s kind of like a virtual book club where I’m just a fly on the wall!

☆ Speaking of American Girl Doll books. I also happened to pick up not one but two adult books about American Girl! I was browsing Substack when I came across a post about An American Girl Anthology: Finding Ourselves in the Pleasant Company Universe. I instantly did some research and found the publisher’s website was having a sale which inlcuded free shipping so of course I had to take advantage of this deal and ordered it asap! It was through looking up this book that I discovered a second AGD book, Dolls of Our Lives: Why We Can’t Quit American Girl, which was written by the two hosts of the podcast I mentioned above. I happened to find a used copy of, so I order it as well. I’m very much in a American Girl Doll period of my life and I’m not hating it. hehe
