Books I Want to Read During Libra Season โฅ Libra TBR

Welcome back to another Zodiac sign TBR! In this series, I’ll be recommending books that I think give off the feeling of a certain zodiac sign. I judge books based on the cover and/or synopsis to determine which zodiac sign vibes with said book. This is a TBR, so I hope to read one (if not all) of these books within the length of a certain astrological season and before the end of the month. If you missed the previous zodiac TBR in this series, go check read that post and all my bookish blog posts here.
Libras are such a precious sign, and selecting a TBR pile for this zodiac sign was pretty easy. When I think of Libras, I think of beauty, love and art. So, my book selection was based on those topics. I didn’t realize this until after, but three out of four of these books are “how-to” or “handbooks” which was just a coincidence. lol
About Libras
Libra is the seventh sign in the astrology wheel. They’re a cardinal air sign and ruled by the planet Venus, the planet of pleasure. Libras are charming individuals who give off a harmonious vibe, making them very friendly and easy to get along with. Libras are all about justice and diplomatic by nature. They will diffuse any situation by listening to both sides of the conversation and calming things and finding a middle ground for both parties. Because Libras are ruled by the planet of love and pleasure, Venus, Libras can be a bit romantic and naturally artistic.
Go read my Libra astrology spotlight for more information on Libra signs. There is also an astrology spotlight for each of the 12 zodiac signs.

The Little Book of Makeup In Venice by Joan Giacomin
A lady’s tricks. The art of beauty: power and liberty.
A year ago, I traveled to Italy for the first time, and on our trip we went to Venice. I loved Venice! I even managed to visit Libreria Acqua Alta! To commemorate my visit, I bought The Little Book of Makeup in Venice. because it was written by a native Venice author and made in Venice! It also features some beautiful illustrations, which is what also made me gravitate towards this mini book. Based on the title of the book, I thought maybe this was an old book, but it was actually first published in 2021! I don’t expect anything groundbreaking, but I can’t wait to learn some beauty tips from someone born and raised in Venice. Maybe I’ll learn a new beauty tip! The description of this book gave me Libra energy, which is why I selected this book to be part of this TBR.

I’ve been interested in learning more about the goddess the past year (since visiting Italy tbh). I’ve been working with Venus for a while (I plan on writing a post on this later), and I’m always looking for more books on other goddesses. I saw this book whilst browsing books on Pangobooks, and since it’s Libra season, and its planetary ruler is Venus, I thought now would be the perfect time to read more about goddess magic. I actually own the Moon Magic book by this same author, which I really love. I would recommend it if you’re interested in learning more about the moon and working with the phases.

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore
When Jeanieโs aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Cafรฉ in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job. Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harborโs gossip at all costs. But Jeanieโs arrival disrupts Loganโs routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Will Jeanieโs happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who wonโt fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattesโฆ
I know! This may sound like an odd choice, especially if you know me! I hate romance, especially cheesy, predictable rom-coms, sort of books. I have read some of these books in the past, and they’re not for me. However, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued by The Pumpkin Spice Cafe. This is a popular and common autumnal bookish pick, and I always see it on Bookstagram posts every fall. However, I’m a sucker for cute titles and book cover art, plus, ’tis the season, right? I’m in the mood for a cozy book set in a coffee shop, and hopefully, this satisfies my thirst. With that said, I am permitting myself to DNF this book at any time. haha

Light Is The New Black: A Guide to Answering Your Soul’s Callings and Working Your Light by Rebecca Campbell
Light Is the New Black is a guidebook for a new breed of women who are here to be bright lights in the worldโmodern-day lightworkers who agreed to be here at this time in history. In order to thrive in this new age, everything we do must be an authentic expression of who we truly are. Light Is the New Black will guide you back home to the callings of your soul so that you can light up the world with your presence.
Rebecca Campbell had her first awakening when she was a teenager. But without anyone to guide her, she ignored her soul’s callings and dimmed her light in order to fit in. Then, just before her 30th birthday, the life she had so consciously created began to crumble around her. It was as if the Universe turned off all the lights so that she had no choice but to rediscover her own. In these pages, Rebecca shares her own journey, while also sharing practical tools to help you reconnect with the core of your being, and channeled messages from the Universe. Once you rediscover what you already know at soul level, you can offer the world something that only you can give.
I received this book either on Chrstmas or for my birthday a few years ago, so its been on my bookshelves waiting to be read for quite a while. With everything that I’m personally going through, I feel now is the right time to read Light is the New Black. by Rebecca Campbell. Libras are a more feminine sign and just have this natural peaceful aura that I could really use right now.
