BTS ARMY BOMB LIGHTSTICK ♥ Crochet Pattern

From the Mooeyandfriends vault! I first publish this crochet pattern back in 2017! Back when K-pop was no where as popular as it is now! I believe 2017 was around the time when BTS started to become more mainstream in the US. With the recent BTS comeback, I thought it would be fun to bring back this pattern to celebrate the 7-member Korean boy group returning from their mandatory military service.

Most K-pop groups have lightsticks to celebrate their favorite fandom. These lightsticks are not only fan memorabilia, but they also serve a purpose, as you can bring these lightsticks to concerts and they actually light up! There are even apps that can light up in unison during their songs! I thought it would be a cute idea to create a crochet version of this lightstick, so that you can turn it into a keychain and display it as a bag charm to show support for your favorite idol group!

As I mentioned, I first released this pattern back in 2017. I’m pretty sure the ARMY BOMB has been updated since then. Feel free to adjust this lightstick to resemble the newest version of the BTS lightstick if you would like. Also, let me know if you would like me to bring back another lightstick pattern from the Mooeyandfriend archive.

If you crochet this project, you can post it on Ravelry or tag me @mooeyscrochet so that I can see your creation. ASSEMBLY
Time to assemble the BTS ARMY BOMB lightstick! Lightly stuff the bottom part with polyfill stuffing and make sure the globe part has enough stuffing. You don’t want to overstuff your pieces to the point where the polyfil begins to show, but you also don’t want to understuff. You can choose to either sew or glue the pieces together. I chose to hot-glue the crochet pieces together because I thought the shape of the pieces looked best this way. Next, glue the mini red pompom. I used no-sew for this part because I was worried I would get burned with the hot glue gun.

After everything is glued, to its time to attach the BTS logo. With white felt and scissors, cut out the shape of the BTS logo and use glue to attach the felt to the bottom of the lightstick, press lightly to secure and leave to dry, so that the glue can set. You’re now ready for that BTS concert!
