Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion ♥ Game Review

Before cozy gaming was even a thing, a preteen-aged Michelle would rush home from school, planning out the rest of her day around playing the Bratz: The Movie or Bratz: Rock Angelz video games on the PlayStation 2. I’ve always had a passion for fashion and enjoyed playing video games where I could dress up my characters! To this day, customizing my player is always one of my favorite things to do in video games!

Recently, when I was going through a nostalgic video game phase, I came across the Bratz video games I played on the PS2. I still have these games and the PS2 console, I’m tempted to reconnect and play them again! When I was looking if they made a newer games, I came across the Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion! I vaguely remember seeing the trailer for this game during a Nintendo Switch Direct and wasn’t impressed at the time, but bought the bullet and gave the game a shot. Did it live up to my expectations, or did it surprise me? Keep reading to find out!

THINGS I LOVED
★ Bratz girls are still working on their magazine! If you don’t know anything about the Bratz, in the series and films, the four Bratz girls created a magazine, appropriately named Bratz magazine. Of course, in this day and age, they’ve pivoted to an online digital magazine to keep up with the current generation. In the games, your side quests are stories for their magazine!

☆ The Bratz lingo! Never disappoints! Sweet but sassy, as always!

★ Nod to past Bratz doll fashion. They include actual Bratz doll fashion (the ones you buy in person) in the games! They even included Chole’s iconic Angel outfit! The one with the cow skirt! This Chole doll was my first Bratz doll!

☆ Some of the voice actors reprised their roles!

★ You know how in some videos, the main characters have some dialogue, but you mainly have to read? Not in Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion! The Bratz talked a lot more than I expected them to!

☆ Other Bratz doll characters appear in the game! The Bratz universe is huge! There are a lot of cameos in the game, including some of the Bratz boys.

THINGS I DIDN’T LOVE
★ Difficult to change characters. You have to go back to their apartment and click on a shelf to change. It’s such a hassle!

☆ You have to purchase the different hairstyles for each character individually, but you don’t have to do this for the makeup and clothes? It’s so weird.

★ When changing hairstyles and makeup, the vanity mirror they used was too small, and you could barely see your whole look, especially the hairstyle!

☆ The loading screen takes a long time!

★ Not enough hairstyles, makeup, and fashion. There are some fashion packs, but you have to buy them separately.

☆ The game was too short! You could easily finish the whole game in under 5-4 hours. I’ve already played the entire game multiple times.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Bratz: Flaunt Your Fashion was a fun nod to their original games. It wasn’t the perfect game, and I still prefer the older games to this one. However, I’m glad there is enough of an interest in the Bratz games that they’re still producing them! In fact, a second game, Bratz: Rhythm & Style, is slated to be released on September 12, 2025! I’ve already watched the trailer and some screenshots, and it looks like they’ve already made some changes. There are also 6 locations in the new game! I can’t wait to play it!
