DAY6 Denimalz Garland ♥ Crochet Pattern

September 14, 2020

I was originally going to make an Even of Day (DAY6’s newest subunit that consists of Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon) however as I was making the garland I thought I would just go ahead and make a Denimalz garland because DAY6 just had their 5th anniversary not too long along. *plays Congratulations in the background*

Denimalz is a group of animal characters created for DAY6. I’m not sure if they helped create the characters or what but either way the Denimalz resemble the DAY6 members a lot! Along with sharing certain features the Denimalz also shares similar names with the DAY6 members, Ke – Young K, Pil – Wonpil, Don – Dowoon, Bang – Sungjin, and Jje – Jae. All the Denimalz have features that match each member.

If you crochet this project, you can post it on Ravelry or tag me @mooeyscrochet so that I can see your creation. If you want to learn how to crochet, watch my crochet how-to video here. If you would like to support me for making this crochet pattern available for free, you can buy me a Ko-fi. Check out all of my free crochet patterns here and my shop to see my original crocheted items.

Assembly
With felt and scissors, cut out the face features of each Denimalz and glue down. Look at a picture of the Denimalz online to help you cut out the shapes. I like to break down each into simple shapes so that I don’t get overwhelmed.

Ch 10 sts, slst to 10 st from hook to form a loop, ch 20 sts, and slst to one of the faces. Connect the faces by ch 10 sts and slst to their sides. Continue and finish with off the garland by ch 30 sts and slst to the 9 st from hook to form a loop.

What an adorable garland. I'm new to crocheting and only know the basic. Hopefully someday I'll be able to make cute things like this.
